I don't have the G6, but use Halo cartos, both normal and the LR cartos with my Triton. On average I get between 4 to 8 fills before either the coil starts falling off on production or the polyfill becomes less absorbent.

Naturally, some ejuices are easier/harder on the cartomizers (just as they are on clearomizer coils) than others.

I use both the Low Resistance carts and the G6 mini-tanks, most of the carts I've been able to refill more than 10 times. The mini-tanks last so long I lose track of how many refills I get with those. I use them with my Triton batteries, don't really use my G6 batteries much anymore.

I don't know of anyone having to replace under about a dozen times. Maybe it is juice/device specific you are doing that.

This is more like me, and others I know use them, experience. I'm guessing because they don't use the normal fill. 12-15 refills seems to be the low-end from users I know.

Also, to the OP... Since you'd have to use an adapter to use the G6 cartos, I don't know how that would affect their lifetime.

So, if you don't mind a real newb question, how do you know when the cartos are reaching the end of their life? I've chucked a couple after burning them up by vaping them dry (thus resulting in a burned taste even when the carto was refilled), but what are the other symptoms? Does the vapor production fall off dramatically at some point or is it a gradual thing that might be hard to perceive?

Everybody, Thank you for your input.

Thanks for the heads up on that. I still plan to use my eGo with clearomizers but am getting the G6 for a more portable solution. With the above being the case, I'll leave the cartos off.

The Halo G6 cartos use a different filling than other cartos. They are done once you have that permanent burn taste which you pretty much do by vaping them dry. However I always find that hard to do because once you taste it going, just refilll it. Other fillings burn out regardless of juice levels, these ones almost always die out when dry.

Everybody, Thank you for your input.

I just meant you'll need an adapter to use on the eGo since Halo's gear is 808 and Triton threaded.

Everyone is different. I am not driven to squeezing every bit out of cartomizer life. I could get a dozen refills, but after 4 to 8 refills I can taste the difference...but sure, I could get a dozen refills...
