Hey guys, a year ago, me and my friends ordered a few e-hookah (nicotine, tar and chemicals free) from china and we've vaped a lot, they had no problems, me, not yet.
we've took around 500 puffs in a night and 500 the other night and etc.. Still no problem.
But then, it happenned..
I was alone at home watching a movie and I took out my e-hookah from my pocket and took a hit.. I felt enormously lightheaded, my skin became red, like if I would have ran a marathon, and my veins grew big. I threw my e-hookah on the floor, took my head with my hands and took big breaths.. it passed.
The following day, I took a hit, same thing happen, but not to my friend. Finally, I end up giving them all of my remaining e-hookah and take a year break.
--
Now we are 1 year later, I bought 2 fantasia e-hookah, and unpacked them today, took a hit, and you know what? SAME ....... THING HAPPENS (And I swear it's nicotine free and only contains PG.) I'm tired of all of this, I want to vape! But I don't want to feel like .... anymore, I always think i'm gonna do a syncope.

PLEASE, help! :(

Hi Blackwolves and welcome to ECF.

First off, STOP USING THAT STUFF!! I vape with vaping gear, not Hookah, but I think the two are similar. I have never had the symptoms you're having from vaping, but those symptoms are serious and should be taken seriously. REALLY.

As Susan said, you might be allergic to PG, or it might be something else entirely. Either way it could be quite serious for you and until you know what is really happening I suggest you stop until you understand more about this.

I have never seen these symptoms from anyone who vapes before and that scares me. Stop and consult with a doctor before you try this again.

welcome to the forum!

as the other 2 gentleman stated, it might be the PG... Or it could be the juice? are u using the same juice? maybe the stuff in the juice dont pair with your body. Try to buy some cheap vape like the ego CE4 thing for like 15 bucks and try it with different juice etc. Its worth it. Better than going to the coals and flavored tobacco. Tell us if you find out whats wrong!

That sounds like the symptoms of a severe allergic reaction. To get some background from someone who has severe PG allergy and the symptoms she gets read Lori's blog about it. ~> E-Cigarette Forum - FL Lori - Blogs

Needless to say, until you speak to an MD about this it would be unwise to vape anything. Although it might be an allergic reaction to PG - which is not uncommon - it could have also been a reaction to a flavoring in the liquids. You may be a candidate for an allergy test panel due to the severity of your reaction.

Also, allergic reactions are not black & white things. Yes - you could have been fine for a couple of years and then an allergy pops up suddenly. The human body can be a fickle thing.

Because you have to first be sensitized to a substance in order to be allergic to it -- my son ate coconut his whole life -- and in his early 20s, suddenly, he becomes anaphylactic at the *slightest* encounter with coconut *anything* -- it's a really bad surprise, but that's how many allergies present themselves. I took penicillin without issue until I was 9 -- then suddenly, it gave me severe hives.

And I agree, those do sound like major allergy symptoms, though figuring out what may be challenging.

My advice exactly.

Hi,
Thanks for all the replies, I've seen the doctor last year about that, and he took tests and the only thing he noticed is that my blood pressure was kinda low, he recommended me to do more exercises and trainings, I brought the E-cig to show him, he asked me to take a shot, surprisingly I didn't feel as bad as I was used to, he thought it was strange so my doctor took a shot to see what it would have done, and he didn't noticed anything abnormal. So, he came to the conclusion that i wasn't an experienced smoker and that when I was vaping, I was hyperventiling. True thing.. when I vape, i'm searching more my oxygen than when i'm smoking a cigarette or anything that can be smoked except e-cig. I don't know why, but it's like that. So, he recommended me to stop vaping to see if my low-blood pressure symptoms would go (orthostatic hypotension, lightheadness, etc..). It did, but now I want to know WHY it does that, so i'll probably order some VG 100% e-juice for my Fantasia Rechargeable E-Cig that I just bought.

By the way, E-Hookah & E-Cig are same thing, except E-Hookah are disposable.

I also have low blood pressure. Not as ss yours, but enough that I have to be carefule sometimes when getting up from a reclining position.

Although I haven't had any problems with vaping, I might suggest taking shorter draws and less often to see if that helps avoid the dreaded head spinning.
