Liquid and distilled vinegar melted my vivi tank

I got home late and decided to clean out my tank and put a new juice in. I rinsed it under cold water for a few seconds and dropped it in a cup of distilled vinegar for about 10 minutes. Iv'e done it before but this time I don't think I washed all of the pineapple juice out first. I think the mixture of pineapple and vinegar melted my tank. I've been vaping TFA pineapple for a while with no problem, now it's slightly cloudy and melted inside.

Yes, I guess it would. Look into a Pyrex or borosilicate glass tank, or just stop using strong acids on plastics.

Acidic + acidic = unhappy polycarbonate

Yeah I had problems with some cheap plastic tanks that I used to use on some tanks, I then switched to glass and didn't have to worry about that.

yep, I put some organic orange e-liquid in my Kir Fanis tank, I make it myself, its real light so didnt think it would hurt. Over night it cracked the tank, fortunately it came with a replacement tank. It didnt get hazy just cracked the threads where the PMMA material was thinner. I dont know exactly what PMMA is chemically, but its supposed to be stronger than polycarbonate or the other poly material.
