I have a question that some of you may have an answer for. I have a couple of liquids from the same vendor that seemed to be going bad pretty quickly. The first was an RY4 that was about 3 months old. Over time it got darker and harsher to the point where I got rid of it because it tasted peppery and was not pleasent. The other is peppermint that is about 1 month old and seems to be going the same way. The only other flavor that I have from that vendor that is 3 months old is some apple and that seems fine.

So my question is, is this a common occurrence with certain flavors, or would you say the nicotine is breaking down due to poor quality or from a base that is too old? I don't vape much in the sweeter liquids so it may be a dumb question to some. I have never had any other liquid "go bad" like this but then most of them are straight tobacco flavors that I use up pretty quick comparably.

I won't comment on the quality of the products because I don't know where they came from, but nicotine degrades in the presence of sunlight, heat and oxygen.

Best place to store your liquids would be in a cool, dry, dark place like a kitchen cabinet, medicine cabinet....some people store it in the refrigerator, but then you start to introduce moisture issues. PG absorbs moisture from the atmosphere.

It could be a storage issue...being that it's summer, it's hot...etc.

There are only a few vendors that I know of that says to use up within 12 months. Most juices, if not a tobacco extract, will last 18 months if mixed fresh to order. One person on here is conducting a test and has some juices that are on their way to the 3 year mark without any changes. Keeping in a cool, dark place is the key to keeping them in vapable condition.

Juice shouldn't go bad that fast, can last > 1 year, but under heat and sun, no guarantee. Some brands like FSUSA are peppery to begin with. I do store my bigger bottles in the frig, tightly closed. And if it were me, I would be hesitant to go back to that vendor, unless your juice was "exposed".

I agree justajuy, I will not likely order from there again. I have found another vendor who I really like and have great customer service (ECblend). As for the storage, like I say maybe. They are no where near direct sunlight or anything and like I say it stays very cool in the house. However not in a dark area either. I cleared a desk drawer and put them in there. Extra bonus my desk doesn't look like a .... lab anymore either :thumb:

Other than the big bottles I have in the frig, the little ones I use everyday and leftover samples just sit out and it's not that cool where they sit. So I still don't think it's your storage. Wish one day the industry would fix the consistency and quality issues. We can help that by voting with our dollars.

I'm flanked with a little "juice box" on the right and the "equipment" station on the left, far away but just within arm's reach. :)
