Hi!
Vapers I have a question: How do you clean the mod spiral after using some sort of e-liquid?
Did anybody use some liquid substance that cleans the spiral before using another flavor? I heard it is better to use it since it protects the battery & this way it serves longer.
Does anybody know how it is actually called and where can I find it?
Thank you all in advance!

if the wick is removable/replaceable, then we do something called a dry burn.. we remove the wick and fire the coil till it glows red-orange ( some people go to yellow) then one can brush off the carbon flakes which formed... then the coil is rewicked and primed... ready to be used again.
If the wick isnt removable, a good soaking in a hi alcoholic content liquid ( Everclear, pure grain alcohol) is used to clean the wick and coil... not too effective tho...
there is a point in which the coil/wick becomes too "used" to be cleaned well enuf to continue using... which requires replacement.

I soak my coils in PGA (or vodka) when I want to remove my previous e-liquid from the cotton wick. Soak for 1 day and then let the coil (and it's cotton wick) dry for 1 day.

Unless you are building and rewicking your own coils there is not much else you can do get rid of the "gunk" (carmalized juice) that gets deposited on your coil over time. At this point it's time to install a new coil.
