all,
been around here for a wee while but haven't read much about people using, or having tried, unflavoured juices (i know there are sections devoted to DIY but this is just to see how folk feel about it...generally. ergo general vaping section. hope that's appropriate).
been making my own juice for a month or so and haven't bought anything pre-mixed since.
yesterday i was thinking about being frugal (ironic considering how much i've spent on hardware...or maybe because of how much i've spent on hardware :w00t:) and without reading anything or researching anything i made my first 'flavourless' mix. i realise that VG, PG and nic do have a certain flavour but you know what i mean...i hope.
did 100ml of VG80/PG20 (72mg nic in PG) to give me a 6mg/ml end result.
vaped that exclusively today.
thoughts...satisfying. can feel the nic. almost creamy. BIG clouds.
i really think it's the way forward for me (though i may go 75/25). odd because because this coincides with me preparing to make flavoured liquid to sell to other people (in very small quantities...not making it a business that'll be my income...love 13 hour days too much for that).
after my prattling...how have others fared if they've tried it?
and breathe (vape)

    Lots of people vape unflavored.
I vape unflavored and flavored throughout the day.
It keeps me from getting vapors tongue and getting tired of vaping the flavored all day.
For me I get the most flavor from unflavored running a .5ohm or lower on a mech.
When I tried unflavored in higher ohm builds, it starts to taste too "cardboardy" without the light sweet taste.

I have heard of a lot of people who vape unflavored and love it.. It seems you found what what works for you and more power to you for that. Flavored or unflavored... as long as it keeps you from smoking....
    yup. spot on.

currently using a 0.2 clapton at 45W. duly noted about the higher ohms. cheers

I've been vaping unflavored almost since my joining here date. Thought I'd get tired of it but never happened. Sometimes I get a bottle of store bought and add a squirt but it's easy to go back. Always meaning to put something simple in with my nic order but always forget, lol. Menthol, mint, koolada, cinnamon...

Some days it Really comes close to smoking a light ciggie. Don't care tho, just does.

Used to be able to go a month (120 ml) on coils but maybe 10 days now.

Unflavored @ 5.5 watts to get rid of 35yrs of cigarettes. Good stuff.

    Have fun

good to hear others chime in. i'm finding it more like a smoke too...maybe that's why i'm enjoying it. got a bagful of flavours and not saying i won't dally again (got tutti going on a mech mod right now) but think the signals have been changed.

I have two mixes that I make regularly, and one of them is unflavored. The other is fizzmustard's "Mustard Milk" (google it, can't link here) reduced to 10% flavoring, down from fourteen. I've tried other flavors, with varying levels of success, but I keep coming back to these two over, and over again.

I vape unflavored all the time and find it refreshing. I generally put a few drops of trebeca in when i need to spice it up some. But i rotate between unflavored and flavored lightly with trebeca.

I'll second this. I've do this but with a bit more than a drop and it's really helpful. I buy 24mg juice and cut it until it's 6mg. Still with good flavor but still not plain vg. I like the taste of plain VG but I don't like vaping it.

I use almost exclusively DIY unflavored at 2mg. It gives me the sensation of my Camel Lights. Lightly sweet, little th and a rough, kind of earthy taste.
I do have a very few flavors, I mix my own Wakonda for dripping and some Black Honey Tobacco for the Elitar pipe. Only very small amounts though. For a few years I bought RY4 and eventually was diluting that pretty heavily.

I do use flavored liquid but I dilute it down. Typically I'll buy liquid that's PG@24mgs and add my own VG. I'll go (VG/PG) 50/50 or 33/66 for MTL, and 75/25 for higher Wattage. But I do enjoy certain flavors full strength. Coffee, chocolate, peanut butter, butterscotch, banana off the top of my head.

I vape unflavored almost exclusively, except for (very rare) occasions when I want an extra taste or just to try something for fun. I like unflavored for several reasons:

    Mild and just slightly sweet
    No offensive odor
    Easier and cheaper
Nothing to get tired of--no vaper's tongue
    Coils/wicks last much longer
    No steep time

    Win, win!!!

I've been vaping my own DIY e-liquid for over two years now; and a simple unflavored makes up about 80% of my daily vape. The other 20% is made up of what ever recipes I have made ans "speak to me at the moment.

Since I have been doing this, I have enjoyed flavored mixes more (they have become more of a treat), and I have never suffered the dreaded vapor fatigue. Not to mention it is dirt cheap, when I buy my PG and VG in gallons, and my nic by the liter. My last 240mL batch cost me all of $1.62!:D
