Thought I would start this thread so we can share our small DIY tips and tricks. Some of the best tips that come along are from new vapers that haven't read what others say they SHOULD do. :p

I LOVE chocolate and have been experimenting for many months to get perfect chocolate flavors. So far I haven't tasted anything I like from e-venders but I've made some great ones.

To get the Oreo flavor I found that a drop or two of peppermint is the secret.

I always add Capella Vanilla Custard and a little Coconut to my creamy mixes and especially chocolate. A couple of drops of raspberry brings out the flavor in dark chocolate.

Also, mixing chocolates, like PA's Bittersweet Extra or FlavourArt's Cocoa with a regular and/or Double Chocolate and some raspberry is great. Again my base always has Vanilla Custard and Coconut.

Chocolates get stronger and deepen with age and exposure to air. If you want to taste a fudgey, holiday-type chocolate let it sit in your drip tip overnight and vape it first thing in the morning! I'm beginning to think fresh juice is overrated and find they are much better with age. The research I've done shows little change in nicotine over time.

I would love to hear what others do to get their perfect mixes. :toast:

:D It is wonderful to know that I am not the only person who adds a touch of Vanilla Custard to everything!:D I use Bavarian Creme when I want a less "custardy" taste.

I have started adding .5% - 1% coffee flavor to my chocolate mixes. This is a bakers secret my sister shared with me. It enhances the chocolate flavor and you can not taste the coffee.

Forgot to add that I let my standard mixes sit for at least a week before vaping. My test mixes are tried during mixing then allowed to set for 3-5 days. I then vape them to see if tweaking is necessary.

Hmmm....I have some TPA chocolate flavor that I got recently, and haven't been able to get any flavor from it. I mixed it up to 20% (starting at 10%) and never got much, if any, taste from it. I did let it sit overnight, should I try again and let it sit for a few days instead?

I had that same problem with TPA chocolate flavors except for the Bittersweet Extra. Even that one I mix with other chocs.

Ok then. I've tried mixing mine with different flavors also, and nothing. It's pretty much worthless it seems. I see they have double chocolate now, so maybe that would be better.

I just received a free sample of expert chocolate from Dawn at DIYFlavorshack. It smells seriously like a Tootsie Roll! I am gonna try to mix some this weekend and see how it turns out. I have bittersweet extra and FF chocolate, but I haven't expirimented with any chocolates yet cuz I'm not a big chocolate fan.

I was getting infused coffee from a friend but ran out... it was fantastic!! I think the only coffee I have now is Capella Coffee Bean so I'll try a little of that. I tried infusing coffee in PG but the flavor didn't hold. I don't know what his methods are but his coffee flavor is outrageous!! Has anyone had luck doing this?

I love chocolate but haven't found a really great one yet. So far, I think Tasty Puff Chumpy Chocolate comes closest. Next time I order from PA, I'll try the Double Chocolate. As for coffee, which I also love, PA's Kona Coffee is my idea of perfection. As Linda warns, it is very strong and some people complain that it smells funny but when she went to discontinue it, enough people made enough noise to induce her to keep it.

I'm not a coffee drinker, but I would love to try some coffee flavor. I've only tried one from a juice vendor that was WAY strong and dry and blech.... Any recommendation for one from TPA or the like that isn't quite so strong? Now that I have some vanilla/carmel/cream flavors I could see those very easily making a great coffee mix.

I got a coffee from VaporBomb that I absolutely love. You have the option of adding cream and/or sugar. I added cream....got it in 18 mg and it's my absolute favorite right now. I also got a coffee with cream from Ms. T's Bakery that was great. And....the cafe mocha from VaporBomb is good, too. I love coffee and prefer any coffee flavor over any tobacco flavor. Coffee is my "non-sweet" vape of choice.

PA also has a regular coffee flavor which is very good and not as strong or assertive as the Kona coffee. It's by no means weak, though, so if you do try it you might want to start out at 5% and see how you like it.

like you, i add coconut to my chocolate..not enough so you taste it, but it seems to round out that flavor.. vanilla helps a little with chocolate as well

TPA raspberry goes well with TPA double chocolate, add a little vanilla or i mix it with Belgian Waffle...

but any combo still beats the Dekang chocolate/coffee mixture i started with in Berkeley.CA this year..lol

Boy have I! I'm a coffee fiend, Nd have 3 KILLER coffee extractions! Now every time I buy a new bean, I make a new extraction. Couldn't stand any of the coffee flavs or juices so I had to try, and I love it so much I didn't even buy any Capellas coffees :)

If you're interested in coffee extraction, read this thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/239733-coffee-flavor.html :)
