Did anyone else sleep like crap when they first started? I'm on day 2 of exclusive vaping. I've started dripping my 24mg tobacco to help me push through it but I have to add in a flavor because it tastes like poo. :p Even then... no dice. I don't want to burn out my atty trying to get my fix.

Someone please knock some sense into me before I stick one of those nasties in my mouth.

also remember nicotine is a stimulant a lot of members here have found stepping the nic down at nite will have you less jittery ....to much nic has the same effect on some people as caffeine and it can keep you awake.....you are feeling withdraws from the maoi inhibiter's and the other 200 and some chemicals in tobacco smoke..not the nicotine...but you are trying to get what you are missing from a pv and its just not there......it will be hard and your friends and family might get a little upset with you for a week or two but once over that hump....the craving should go away all together...just remember .....it is so worth the torture to make it to the other side.....

Edit: By stepping down the nic I mean...if you vape 24mg/ml at night maybe go with an 18mg or even less depending on sesitivity to nicotine....

You may be one of the folks who is not only very addicted to nicotine but also more dependent on the other alkaloids in tobacco of which nicotine is only one. As there isn't any mainstream e-liq with these Whole Tobacco Alkaloids (WTAs), at least yet, perhaps you could benefit from something else like snus in addition to vaping. Search this forum for "WTA" for more info.

    Somewhere between here and there
I know a lot of people think that snus is "gross" or just like chew. I did too before I tried it. It's not. No spitting, the portion type isn't messy like chew, and much lower levels of TSNA's. If the higher nic levels of liquid help then stick with that for now but maybe find some flavors you enjoy. Just know that there are other options out there also like stonewalls, ariva, and nasal snuff.

Exactly, the tobacco in snus doesnt come into contact with your mouth at all. Its just a little packet like the size of a piece of hard shelled gum.

Cheating? High? I think you're being too hard on yourself and also looking at this kind of wrong. The point is to not smoke as smoking is what's really bad. Period. Not nicotine or even tobacco so much in and of itself. And I doubt anything else you may try will cause you to lose interest in your PV as vaping is fun and tasty and moreover satisfies the "smoking action" part of the addiction. This is both psychological and physical.

I found that vaping high mg before bedtime is a lot like drinking a pot of coffee before going to bed. Drink lots of water and use lower strength for the last couple hours of the day. Melatonin also might be worth a shot - it helped me get back on schedule after an international trip. I had some mild withdrawals off and on for the first couple weeks, likely from whatever other stuff is in analogs - hopefully you can tough it out and get through it. Best of luck!

I had trouble getting to sleep for a while. Here's my best advice from another thread, if you're really having trouble. A lot of people have done it this way.

You are switching not quitting. You don't have to switch completely immediately. Every cigarette you don't smoke it is a victory. So, it's a win to go from a PAD to 4 or 5. What I would suggest is to continue to have 3 or 4 cigarettes a day for a few weeks. However, when you have those cigarettes that's all you do. You don't have them while you're watching TV or sitting at the computer. Take the time to notice how they taste and make you feel. Vape all you want. If you're like me, you'll notice that after a while, you don't enjoy those cigarettes all that much. You quit looking forward to them. Then it's a lot easier to just vape.

I didn't have many significant cravings but I sure had trouble going to sleep. I spent lots and lots of hours daily reading this forum and trying to get tired. Being retired it wasn't too much of a problem for me but I can sure sympathize with anyone who needs to follow a regular schedule.

The only positive thing I can say is it didn't last for long with me. Maybe four or five days.

Good luck and hang in there.
