little worried, need some advice (wife bought me an Ikarus)......

Ok so the situation is pretty simple, for the past month or so I have been going through lots of information on genisis style atomizers, my initial plan was to go for the aga t first because i have no previous experience with rebuildables, always been curious but alittle uneasy because of what I understand could be some major potential issues with genesis styles.

So today as an early valintines day gift my wife had decided to get me an Ikarus from drop mods(she wont tell me where she got it) I had a bookmark for it along with an Ihybrid for when I was ready, and she ended up finding them. So now I own a genesis, but have no experience with them. I do already own some 32 and 28g kanthal, and 400ss mesh along with a multimeter, and torch because i was getting everything together for the aga t, but obviously with the Ikarus not being a cheap mod I dont want to end up blowing it up do to user error.

I should also note that I know that I do enjoy the genesis style vape experience because awhile ago I got a chance to try a friends Ihybrid but he recently went back up north so having him help me build my first wick and coil is not an option. Any advice on a beginner setting this up as safely as possible would be much appreciated.

So get an aga to practice...right? Just use all the normal precautions when testing obviously.

Also, your wife sounds pretty awesome.

Do you have a way to check the ohms, either via a meter or a device that will do so?

you wont blow up the genny if thats what you are saying.... from my experience id say start on the ikarus. Higher quality product to practice on. The only thing you can really damage is the threading.... which I highly doubt will happen.
