I have found a shop here in Indianapolis that touts that they create all of their own flavors.
They have over 300 flavors in their catalog. I am skeptical that they actually do this. I have asked the owner about it but he always seems to give a rather vague explanation. I have heard from others that he buys cheap juice from China and re-lables it. Would you buy it?
Incidentally, they do not have a clean room to date and the guy says that do not need one.
I try to buy the best juice I can for a decent price but am leary of Chinese liquids.

He's likely just mass-buying flavorings and mixing on the spot with VG/PG/nic. I've seen other vape shops do this for their "house blend" e-liquid. 300 flavors is a lot of flavors, I'd have to try some of the more interesting ones -- though going through that menu would be a nuisance.

It is important to have a clean room to an extent, but if he's literally just pouring flavoring into a bottle with VG/PG/nic, a clean room isn't really necessary. Most DIY'ers keep their bottles clean and stuff, but nobody's using an air-lock to keep germs out of their mixing room as far as I'm aware.

I'd say give it a try, but don't expect super high quality.

Well, as a fellow DIYer, I create all my own. I currently have 71 different flavors where they can be mixed and matched in any combination I so choose and do it in the comfort of my own home. Do I keep the area clean? Yes. Is it a sterilized room? No. I do not have the money or resources for all that. Do other creators have all that? I am not sure as I have never had a tour of the makers facilities. The way I personally take it is that no one knows for sure unless it has been seen being made. I vape all of my own and do not plan to sell it to the general public. I have given some away to some of my friends and they have really enjoyed it. The thing that I say is "can you trust them?" I am happy to mix mine in front of the people that I make them for without any problems because like mentioned before, I am not selling it and have no "special" ingredients that I need to hide from them so they do not know what's in it. As far as them making their own, I could believe it as it is not really that hard. Just need time, patients, an understanding of flavor combinations, and ingredients. Hope this helps.

300 is easy enough to do once you put 2 or 3 together. If it's a walk-in store, you can ask them where they source their concentrates. There are few secrets in the juice market, and if they reply a,b,c then you'll know. If they won't tell you, walk on.

There is a UK store that mixes 20-30 recipes for customers. There is another that offers a 48 hour turn around on about 40.

My feeling however is 300 is too many to have made a decision about what percentage of each flavor, so if you ask for peach and apple, they'll just give you that with no real recipe.

Bought from China juices are much more expensive than juices mixed at home.
