Lockout switch

I'm in the process of gathering parts up to build my own mod box. It will be ran off of 2 18650 batts. My question is: I got this lockout switch that I pulled out of an older paper shredder on it says "12A 125/250 VAC" would this switch be sufficient for what i need? Link to the switch

What are you using the switch for? To cut the mod off? I usually just put a small switch in the gate of the mosfet. It doesn't cut it off but it wont fire and its a low voltage wire

Yeah just to be able to prevent the mod from firing if its in my pocket, figured since I had this switch laying about I'd go ahead and toss it in.
