We use a laser etching process to create the logo. When this is done, a laser is used to literally burn part of the metal away to etch the design onto the tube. This creates a thin etching into the tube like a very light engraving.

The laser burns the logo into the side of the tube. Whenever there is burning, there is carbon left behind. This is what makes the logo so dark at first.

Unfortunately, there is no way to keep the carbon in place so as it gets handled and rubbed, the carbon wears off, leaving the light engraving of the logo behind.

So, the logo is still going to be there, it will just eventually be the same color as the tube, like if we were to have carved the logo into the metal instead of burning it.

But the logo doesn't fade on the black or other colored ProVaris, you may say, and you are correct. Because we coat the metal tube with a layer of ceramic first, when it goes through the laser etching process, the ceramic is burned away, leaving the metal underneath exposed.

Kindly,
