Okay, I managed to get 6 blank cartridges filled. What a mess. No syringe here. Thought I had one of those huge ones with the big needle you use to inject meat with marinade. Couldn't find the needle for it. Run down to the dollar store and pick up a injet refill thingie which has a needle in the package which just happens to fit on my marinade injector. Problem is, you can not draw the liquid into the darn thing (aside from the fact that I had to "cut" a point onto it)...how you're supposed to inject ink into foam with no darn point is beyond me. I kept looking at it trying to figure out how it's different than the syringes I use every day at work and why won't it suck anything up??? Anyhoo, at this point I've got nic juice on my fingers repeatedly and keep running to the bathroom to rewash my hands. I ended up taking the insert out on a few of them and just dipping them in the nic juice, stuffing them back in the cartridge, pressing it down in hard and dumping the excess that dripped off back into the nic juice container. Even the ones that I did manage to get filled with the makeshift syringe looked too wet. I smooshed the filler down in to get the excess out and refluffed it. I'm going to wait awhile to try them to give it a chance to soak into the fiber before I try it. That is if I don't die from exposure first....:p

What a disaster. HAVE to find some kind

Uh oh, did lorraineg die from a nicotine overdose in the middle of a sentence? But still managed to hit "submit"? Please, assure us you're ok!

The dollar store has syringes??

OOpsy... sorry about that. I went there looking for one of the large syringe things that you use to inject marinade into meat. They actually look like a big toy syringe but they do have a large sharp needle. They didn't have those but they did have an inkjet refill thing that looked like it had a large needle in it. When I got it home it had a blunt end but it did fit the plunger part of my meat marinade thing but it wouldn't allow me to draw the liquid up...don't know why...

I'm going out tonight shopping so I'll have to find something that makes a little more sense...You can find the flavor injector for meat at Walmart or any kitchen store for around $6

Thanks for checking in on me....;)

Keep practicing, this can be messy :).

I refill by just dripping until the juice domes the top and then take a map tack and move the filler to one side and pull the filler up to even with the top, sometimes another drop or two. Good and wet is good, lapping at the top and you get to drink some of it.

As noted, practice makes perfect :).

I use a straightened-out paper clip, just to push the wadding to one side, and trickle the juice down the wire from the dropper until the cart's full. Works well enough that I haven't bothered looking for a syringe.

With all due respect, a syringe is the only way to go. It is so much quicker with a syringe. I can fill 20 carts in about 3 minutes with a syringe.

OP you can get a syringe from Johnson Creek for a cheap price.........

i agree as well....syringe is easy and cheap. the pharmacist at work gave me a couple free. larger gauge needle helps too. e-juice is thick...sometimes it's a bit hard to draw into a very small gauge needle.

If I'm at home and filling carts i use the syringe. On the go i just drip and sometimes use a paperclip as stated above.

Thanks for the tips, you all are great. I think I may have mussed up the filler by mushing it around too much. Any tips for repositioning that? I think it needs to be flush with the cartridge top?

I work in a doctor's office and I'm sure he'd let me take one if I ask or if I can find one tonight cheap, I'll just pick it up. What gauge seems to work best (I'm assuming around 20G)? I DO need to replace my meat injector after all....;)

I'm getting a fair amount of vapor on the draw but next to nothing on the exhale. I'm using dura cartridges on a 901 from MyVaporStore.

Meh...with the flavor, I may have to doctor that...The exhale or lack of it is what seems amiss....Mind you this is all new to me and the parts are all new. I realize there's a break-in with the atomizer and no, I'm not covering the hole with my finger.

Oh well, if you want mass production, I can see a syringe would be a good idea :) I routinely top off rather than refilling, so only have to refill a couple of times a week when I've washed one out that's got a bit gungy or crispy.
