Long term battery storage?

I'm building an inventory of ego style batteries (Halo and Aspire) as a prep for the possible vapocalypse. I've had good service from these batteries, some of my daily use Halos are still in service after more than 2 years, but how do I preserve the reserve? Cycle them through the rotation, throw them on charge once a month, or just leave 'em till I need 'em?

Lithium batteries, store them at house temperature, at a charge state between 3.4 to 3.6volts, take them out every few months to check charge state and condition, need to charge them back up to about 3.6ish volts do so, put back into storage.

yes do not store them fully charged but as IMFire said. Kind of hard to tell with an ego battery though. they often come at about that charge state.
