Long time listener, first time squonker

Hello all! I've been reading this wonderful forum since around 2017 when I first bought a vape (an old Mi-One, before they were pods) trying to get off smoking. It's been a wild ride and I've been on and off analogs many times. At the moment, I've been off analogs for several months with a Geekvape H45 and finally decided I want to try building...a bit of a dream of mine for a while. I'm a grad student in art and could really benefit from saving a buck or two on coils! (I already make wirewrap jewelry...some of that has to transfer over, right?)

After a fair bit of research + keeping an eye on online sales I've got a Wotofo Profile squonk mod and a Hellvape Dead Rabbit Solo RDA coming, along with some Mooch-approved batteries and the requisite safety accessories. I know this might not be the best gear but I can always upgrade if I enjoy/need it.

I've been reading up on builds but if you have any tips, especially for this particular RDA, I'd appreciate them!

Next paycheck will be DIY juice supplies...I used to make my own but got rid of all of my stuff before I moved because I thought it would always be cheap and easy to get...oops. Anyone know a good sweet candy banana recipe?

Ah, thank you! I feel good about it this time...I spend a good 60% of my waking hours locked in my studio, where I can't have a cigarette but can sneak a vape - and the uni I'm at is in a much colder climate than my hometown. So vaping is a LOT nicer. I'll still keep a can of snus around for long seminars though. A friend in my cohort takes an edible beforehand LOL. To each his own.

Looks pretty good RDA and probably everything you put in there should be work very nice, of course if you use some more spacial coils or wires you will have better results... !

I built my Gear RTA a few hours ago with a thicker SS316 single wire and was working very good, so now i build it with simple 30g SS316 like i use it on my MTL RTAs, and still i can have a pretty good vape... ! I think it's better to try a few different builds, and when you find the one that you like, you can do some fine adjustments so you can have the perfect build for your style... !

Thanks, this is helpful. I'll definitely try several different builds. I love working with anything tiny and fiddly (kind of my specialty) so I think I'll have fun building my first 100 failures!

This super concentrated flavoring by Wonder Flavours, is "spot on", in my opinion. It provides a true Runts Banana Candy and/or old-time banana popsicle taste. Just use it at 3-5% {according to your individual taste preference} with your own plain PG, plain VG, and nic base. That's all you need for an easy-peasy sweet, banana candy eliquid.

Banana Candy-SC-WF - Bull City Flavors usually always has it in several sizes. Reviews are also there from others who've tried it. Other vendors sell it, too, but there's an on-going, sitewide coupon code for ECF members in effect at Bull City. Just use ECF6 during Checkout.
