I'm sure many have come here for the same reason, been hanging around for a while now but registered a little while back as I wanted to see what threads sparked my interest on my daily visit instead of doing random reads.

My story isn't really much different to some that I read, I came from smoking 30 - 40 smokes a day more and slightly up over the weekends which was probably 6 months ago now but kept buying the odd packet on a weekend which stopped I reckon 2 months ago and have become a full time vaper on my trusty Provari which doesn't leave my side very often.

For me it seemed a waste of money here in Australia a packet was costing me $22 or thereabouts for 30, money could be spent elsewhere, wasn't concerned about health I figure die happy and did actually enjoy it to be perfectly honest just the stale smell which I didn't like.

I had a bit of a rocky start having the ego which got me mildly interested but not the hit I was after, went to the taste vv which was a little better but then came along the Provari which I went through all sorts of tanks namely iclear 30s, protanks even a nautilus which was a dud out of the box so I went down the kayfun rda route and was a purchase I wished I done earlier as this was the exactly thing I needed to drop the smokes on the weekend all together. Since then a bit of stuffing around as my cotton wicks were gone in 2 days so recently went to the Nautilus and Nautilus Mini with BVC's and couldn't be happier (much better than the original dud I had where the firing pin wasn't aligned), I do have the Kayfun there as a 'something different' vape.

juice wise I'm getting a little more adventurous but appears I've taken a real liking to the desserts or cake flavours, went through the stage of MBV (can't stand it now even after months and months of steeping a chemical aftertaste which I just can't get used to), Nicoticket (some good and some not for me but there's something lately which has turned me off - Wakonda my fav without a doubt with CLS in a distant 2nd but to order 2 bottles with shipping costs to Australia it isn't worth it), had a pile rock up eventually from Five Pawns and Suicide Bunny which I'm liking a lot bar one which I don't like one bit.

So where to from here for me, DIY e-liquid of course :) Have nic, PG / VG, syringes and getting concentrates as I see fit - the big problem there you see a recipe and think you beauty I'll jot that down for my arsenal but realise you don't have the required concentrate so back to the shopping cart again so will do a big buy really soon. Looking forward to it actually but start out with small batches and work my way up until I get more comfortable with working out percentages to try and combo's I like but skies the limit now.

In preparation for DIY have a Magma dripper and associated bits should be in the post tomorrow. Now I just have to eagerly await the Provari P3 release :) Already on the purchase list.

Well that's me, have spent a heck of a lot but worth it imho, feeling better and more lively which will certainly improve as time goes on, haven't even thought of buying a packet which is a great milestone in itself.

There's my long winded story, off to read the DIY section more and learn from other n00bs like myself

Welcome to the forums Keech:)

Fairly similar story at the end to me too. I have loved the reviews of the magma so have a few heading on the way too. Also I have just picked up a whole kit for DIY juice making and am loving it. Dripping on a mech for me is too expensive if I am blasting suicide bunny. Its expensive here in the UK. Please post any successful recipes you make along the way. Will probably see you on the DIY threads.:toast:

Thanks all, no hurry to get cracking on DIY read more and get completely comfortable with it until I find something that pushes all the right buttons and diving in we go.

Good to hear I'm not the only one which has spent plenty of e-cigs until they find the right one :D what a great journey it has been so far!

Plenty of really good sounding recipes out there, would rather start with a decent base and work on what I like, I have stuck with stuff I think I might like but hey happy to go outside my comfort zone and try something a little different.
