First, and foremost, I must say THANK YOU to everyone that makes ECF the awesome place that it is.

I rarely join forums "and" participate, or remain a participant for very long. I usually join a forum, and deactivate not long thereafter once I see the members in action. There are so many forums that are just not places I want to spend some of my precious free time in.

ECF is wonderfully different and unique, and it is truly a breath of fresh air. Yes, there are times when I have seen things start to escalate in the wrong direction, but then I see this group defuse and right the situation back to normalcy.

June 6, 2010, I quit the "death nails" cold turkey, started my vaping lifestyle and love it, and I have not regretted what was one of the most important decisions of my life -- saving my life.

Bonus One: My mother did a happy dance because I finally said I would quit smoking analogs, and actually followed through.

Bonus Two: I get to deny the state government their exorbitant taxes that they collected while watching me stay on a destructive path.

Last year, I went on the hunt for a new mod that I was specifically looking for -- which I still have not found -- and happened across ECF.

I lurked for a few months to see what it offered, and what type of members were here. After four months of lurking, I was convinced this was not the typical forum, so I joined in August of last year. But, my intention to become an active member got waylaid.

I am self-employed in the legal field, and I work from home. At the time that I joined ECF, with the intention of becoming an active participant, the floodgates of work opened. My normally long workdays became super-long workdays, six to seven days a week, just to keep up with all of the deadlines.

There have been so many times that I wanted to communicate more directly with the suppliers I buy from instead of e-mailing; or interact with various members and/or in various threads; or contact suppliers that don't yet have a website, or have no intention of getting one.

I also want to get into the modders' forum, able to actually talk, to see if my dream PV can be made a reality. I found one member's post from quite a while ago, and she had exactly what I was looking for. Her modder friend built it. I saw hope.

And last, but not least, because this community has given so much to so many, I want to become, both, a supporting member and a verified member. Joining CASSA is also on my list.

But, if I remain forever stuck in lurk-ville, none of what I want to do can happen.

Since I have a rare easy weekend ahead, it's now or never, get in and through those first five posts.

I have now given birth to my first post. Finally !!

Hey Sheyna. Glad you finally came out of the shadows and joined. :2cool:

Certainly took a while, huh?

It's so good to see East Coasters up into the wee hours. I don't feel so alone.

Your welcome is much appreciated.

Hi, Iffy. I have read many of your postings throughout the past year.

My curmudgeon uncle was always my favorite person at the holiday dinner table

Welcome aboard! I'm happy for you that things have settled down enough you can sit back and chat a bit.

But do tell, what is this dream PV you are looking to create?

Thanks, RevsVice.

I like box, or box-ish mods, because they hold and balance tanks nicely, and much less likely to tip over. Boxy mods are also more comfortable for me to hold, especially for long periods of time.

My dream PV is a box, or box-ish, mod that is dual mode (automatic AND manual capable), dual 18650 battery, and variable voltage with outside control that can handle any carto or atty. To that I would also add a gooseneck extension.

With the flip of a switch, it goes from auto to manual, and vice versa with another flip of the switch.

I work on my computer mega hours every day. That alone puts a hurting on my fingers and hands. I have also had secondary fibromyalgia since 1998, which compounds the hurting when that flares and I haven't taken in enough nicotine to squelch the pain before the flare. Yes, nicotine is a helpful pain controller for me, most days.

So, keeping both hands moving requires use of an auto battery, unless I stop all the time to press that button on a manual. But, I can't top off my carto on an auto battery, so I have to always stop work to top off and ensure it's dry enough.

Since I am a heavy vapor by choice, the batteries can't be more than 650 mAh, which would be one of my stainless steel Echos; or one of the really low mAh KR-808d-1 originals that I still have, but I barely get more than an hour out of one of those. Anything larger than my Echo and it then becomes way too heavy to hold onto with just my lips and teeth, especially when I use low resistance cartos.

I also have to have a lot of cartos prefilled so I can quickly swap out when I drain one dry. It doesn't take me long to do.

So, my dream mod with an attached gooseneck, with my favorite carto, on auto mode, would make me uber-happy while working. I could finally vape with a tank while working, but then I could switch to manual and an atty when I'm on a break or in my off-work mode, if I wanted to.

I have at least four juices/flavors going at any one time. I can get bored easily on one flavor, so I don't have an all-day vape, even though I have my two everyday favorites. So, I could have numerous tanks on numerous dream mods, each one with a gooseneck at the ready.

That, would make me beyond ecstatic. I only wish I had far more free time than I do, so I could attempt the build myself.

Hmmm, on second thought, I might never get off the computer if I had a setup like that. I know my clients would be happy if that came to fruition

Welcome to our community Sheyna! Very nice intro. Thank you for sharing all of that with us. :) Yes, all of the vendors here do communicate with us directly as well as many of the reviewers that you may see on Youtube. You'll also find that unlike other forums (gaming comes to mind) our moderators are here and very diligent at keeping ECF a place that people will want to come to and come back to.

Congrats on quitting and Welcome to ECF Sheyna !!

but you left out the most important statistics in your intro.....
so what are your vaping on right now? 808, 510, big, little what flavors, so much lost info lurking.....

inquiring minds want to know....:)...

Hey, Stosh, thanks for the huge welcome.

Awesome avatar. Go NY Giants :toast:

I love reg and lr cartos, and 901 attys. I wash and reuse. I have cartos and attys that are more than six months old, and the performance is still top-notch. In a year, I think I have thrown out less than two dozen cartos and attys, mostly because they failed outright not long out of the box, and nothing could revive them.

I like the carto tanks with the side fill portal. But, since I use a lot of juices that destroy most of the carto tanks out there, I started making my own tanks out of syringes -- all thanks to the ECF innovators.

PG/VG: I usually vape 70/30, unless 60/40 is the highest PG ratio. I started vaping one vendors organic 100% VG, double flavor, which has the consistency of my usual ratios. Never a clog.

I have 40-plus flavors of juices: tobaccos, cappuccinos, and deserts, mostly.
I love hot cinnamon candy.

I'm not all that into straight fruits, but don't mind them if part of the mix or for adding to a tobacco. I like to mix different juices together to get closer to what I'm looking for, instead of trying to find that one juice that has it all. Of course, the hot cinnamon candy is one of my favs all by its lonesome.

I dont' have an all-day vape, but I have four juices I am very partial to. I usually add a few drops of my sucralose in 60/40 PG/VG mixture to most of the juices I buy because I like sweet, or slightly sweeter. Even one drop can make a bland juice pop better in the flavor dept. A drop or two of menthol or peppermint to bland juice also works wonders.

I have no less than four flavors in active rotation at any given time, and I have had as many as eight to ten in active use. Depends on my mood, and what kind of day I'm having.

I am always on the hunt for that elusive sweet and creamy vanilla flavor, as well as sweet and creamy coconut cake flavor. I have my eye on a few new-to-me vendors that I will be ordering from this weekend. Juices are one of weaknesses. Willpower is always sitting on one of my shoulders.

My PVs consist of:

I still have, and still use here and there, my original -808s. They're great to use when cooking dinner.

I have quite a few true auto and manual pass-throughs, not the in-line battery type.

Stainless steel Echos, 650 and 1300 mAh, auto. Had no inclination to go with Echo-e. The 650s are part of "while I'm working" arsenal.

I have Kgos. They are great, especially for going out and about. But, since they are manuals, they are one of my not-working go-to.

I have several box mods: 3.7v, 5v, and vv. Nothing fancy...nothing expensive...they just work.

I am absolutely waiting on two mods:

Version 3 of the Sgt VV army tank (mod, not carto), hopefully, soon to be released. THAT is definitely on my must-have list.

If a Sgt VV 18500 dual-battery tank (mod, not carto) comes to fruition, THAT will absolutely be in my mod family.

I also have my eye totally set on "at least" one Empire Mod. Red, absolutely. Then, gunmetal gray, with a few different color sleeves and drip shields to mix and match.

I research things to death before I buy anything. Doesn't matter what it is. And I don't care about fancy or pretty, because if one bites the dust, I can't vape fancy or pretty.

I am a firm believer in backup to backups, and backups for backups to backups. I also shoot for different types and sizes of mods for any situation.

Hope I gave you a glimpse into one of the loves of my life. Appreciate you asking.

Sorry about being long-winded, but perhaps something might help someone along the way in a direction they might consider taking. I think always hearing about other real-time users and their experiences, routines, etc., is a great thing.

Oh, I have especially paid attention to the reviewers, written or visual. Details, details, details has made a huge difference in my buying decisions. The equipment videos are always invaluable. Yes, the juice videos may be boring most of the time, but watching facial expressions can, sometimes, either confirm the words spoken, or contradict them. I always watch for the subtle, sometimes easily missed visuals.

I have been highly impressed with the moderators of this forum. It was one of the many things that kept me coming back, and has kept my respect high for ECF. In fact, their due diligence just appeared in all of its glory.

I have been a moderator of various forums in the past, and it is not an easy job. Doing it for no pay, it further shows their commitment to a community they truly value.

I think the recent steps taken to further enhance and protect ECF's reputation and all of their members is outstanding. I know it may be inconvenient or a hassle for some, but I also see that there are other avenues being considered to try and help everyone in a common goal.

Again, just an outstanding place I am proud to be a member of.

...quite a collection, but in the end, function over form !!!! cool.

I started down the same road, but forked off to the Puck style box mods, using NiMH batteries. Found I like the ~4.8v for most flavors and after dozens of flavors, have settled on just a few regular everyday vapes. Plain menthol, and absinthe 50/50 mix are my favorites.
