I've been vaping off and on for around 6 years now. Haven't been able to completely kick the cigs till just this month. Used to be 2 packs a day then was down to morning and after meals with vaping filling the rest of my time. Now though I have been "analog" free for about 3 weeks now and not missing them.

Currently using an Innokin Itaste VTR and loving it. By far my favorite ecig to date. I go back and forth between an Innokin 30s and my new Kanger aerotank. My 30s lasts longer but I get better flavor from the aerotank and I really like the adjustable air flow. Any thoughts, criticisms, or personal experiences would be appreciated.

Also starting to make my own juice so if any of you know a good recipe site, let me know. TIA.:vapor:

In the 30+ years of smoking Marlboro reds. I tried to quit prolly 500 times. It all comes down to if you WANT to quit for yourself. I tried cold turkey, nic gum, nic patches many many times but never actually help me quit. I bought myself a nice setup. Silver bullet, 5 5ml pbc bottom coil tanks with 15 bottom coill replacements, 3 18650 IMR 1600 mAh 3.7 volt 30 amp bats, and 3 AW 3.6 volt 18650 3400 mAh 12.2 watts and a bat charger and some RY-4. And from that day I have not even touched a cig. Sure I hade to get over the hump of were the cravings were far and between. The vaping helped me over that hump. For me it was in the 30-40 day period I had to get passed, to actaually even not even think about smoking a cig. In the past without vaping I would go 2-3 weeks tops maybe a month if lucky and I was back on cig's. The 1st week or so is the hardest as your system is craving nicotine. Sometimes It's as hard if not harder than quitting crack from what I have read. I never got into crack, but seeing that cig's can have up to 7000 chemicals, I believe it.

Hello and welcome!

I first started using e-cigarettes back in late 2006 when the options available were nothing like what we have available to us today. I'm sure you can relate to that!

The VTR paired with an aerotank is a great setup. I have and use both on a daily basis. I have also have added aircontrol bases to all my mini and regular Protanks which makes them so much more versatile to use on the VTR. I also rebuild all my coils which saves money. So even if you are not into rebuilding your coils at this time, consider saving your old coils in case (at a later date) you may want to rebuild yours.

There are lots of recipes both on this site and all over the web. Eventually I will get all my info organized so I can post links. But in the meantime check out ECF member HeadinClouds blogs. She's what I would call a "master chef" when it comes to DIY recipes.

Your Itaste VTR is great, I like it because it features a rotational wheel and a protective skeleton to hold the tank inside. It's easy to adjust. I once used it, now I prefer Mechanic mod -Jam Heimdall mod. Congrats on quitting tobacco!

welcome to the forum. here is a site for recipes

....................

I like innokin as well, just recently purchased a Provari and I am pretty sure it will be my all I use from now on. congratulations on finally kicking the habit. it is tough. was 20+ years here and tried almost everything myself. and I wanted to quit. Vaping gave me that crutch. glad you quit, glad you are here. hope you enjoy yourself. this ia an awesome place for knowledge and help. you ask and thou shall receive lol

I also started vaping in 2006. Funny thing is that I hadn't smoked a cigarette in 8 years! But the desire to smoke never left. My hubby bought the "Smoke Tip" starter pack and dumped his cigs. Over the next few months, I saw those things laying around and, like a teenager, I started taking a puff here and there. LOL! Long story short, I bought my own kit and started vaping.

Now I'm using the E-vic with a Nautilus Aspire tank. I've been through almost every mod on the market, but the E-vic is my favorite. I know some like the square mods, but it didn't work as well as I liked. I prefer a tube style mod that allows me to carry spare batteries.

I just joined the forum today. It seems like a great place to meet people and get good info on all things e-:toast:cigg related.

Cheers! :toast:

Same here. New to the forum but I've been vaping for 4 years now. I've gone through a lot of batteries and devices before I finally settled on a Provari Mini. I've got an AC9 from Vapinaze that I'll use at home because RBA's can't be trusted when your on the go. Especially if don't want juice leaking out all over your pockets. So for that reason I use the AC9 when I'm in the house to really taste the full flavor of my juices. It is by far the best RBA that I've ever had the pleasure of vaping and I've been through a few. For my daily "on the go" setup, I use a Boge LR carto double punched in a Kir Fanis "Special Prive" tank. Kir Fanis's build quality is insane and the bottom collar on that tank makes the Provari Mini look awesome. I looks like one solid tube. With the Carbon Fiber wrap, it almost looks like the Ikarus V.1, which was my favorite version aesthetically speaking. Any how. Nice to hear and meet everyone! Vape on!

Thanks Susan~S. I got some DIY supplies from my Dad this weekend. He's been doing his own thing for years now and finally convinced me to do the same. He gave me some of his old/unwanted stuff to try and I've been experimenting like a mad scientist for the last few days. Been using the .................... site and it is awesome. Will definitely have to check out the others on your list. I love to cook and this is just kinda like an extension of that for me.

Also, one of the best parts is now I have a use for all my old cigar humidors that have just been sitting around for the last year or so. I've got the big lockable one holding all my DIY supplies at home and a small travel humidor for when I hit the road. Love having a chance to re-purpose some old stuff.
