Whats up everyone??

Been vaping over 2 years now. Got introduced into mech mods a few days ago and became real interested and found this site. So here I am. Not really interested in making coils and what not at this point. Def want to start where I am comfortable and work my way up. I am thinking about getting a cheap clone and just messing around with it a bit. Seems like a cheaper alternative that going out and buying a Chi You right off the bat. hahah

Looking to get a new setup now, something with more options.. Finding I like the Zmax from Sigelei and Aspire nautilus combo. Just something to get me off the small micro cigs I have been using for so long.

I hope to find lots of info here, as I have already.

Live long and vape on!

Hi Funky Monk =)

Welcome...curious what your budget is. Have you looked at Reo's for a good mech mod? You can stick a carto and a drip tip on it and squape it.

As for REOs, I think it is just the box type mod vape looking setup I am trying to avoid. I like to keep it in my pocket and go. I realize I compromise this apsect a little bit by going with a larger setup than my current smaller ecig I've been using.

Well my budget is kind of up in the air right now. I'm committed to the vape. So I'm happy spending up 200 dollars or so to get going on the more technical side of things. Whatever that may be.

That's not 200 dollars to get a vapor shark (again the box just throws me off) and a rda, Well maybe...But I'd like to start spending about 100 or so. Maybe around the 200 mark if I justify it.

Thoughts?

Reo probably isn't your speed yet since you aren't looking to rebuild. Zmax are good, but add an extra $40-80 for a good charger and a few quality batteries. With something like an mvp2 you have a built in battery so you have no worries. Personally I don't see the point of using a mech with a clearo. But if you do, get an ohm reader as well as quality batteries and quality charger. Some times even manufactured heads come out as dead shorts, which could cause your battery to explode on a mech. Regulated devices have safety precautions in place to avoid such defects. If you plan to rebuild at some point, I'd say get a regulated box mod that has 30w+, with onboard charging. Then you only need the device and a battery, much cheaper, but probably around $100, where MVP can be purchased for under $45

Box mods are better IMO, as you are not carrying around a baton in your pocket. I had an ad version to box mods at first too, but soon changed my mind after having to deal with a SiD (zmax style)... It hangs out of your pocket, it falls over on the table and will likely roll off, it's not stealthy by any means, plus you have the additional expense of batteries and charger.

Also, box mods give you bigger screens, so you aren't fiddling with a menu to see where your battery/ohms/wattage is at.

A Grand is about the size of a Credit Card and not too thick. I used to think they were huge until Kiwi posted some scale pics...Reo Grand is 175 without the 18650 batteries or the charger.

I love my Provari, but that seems just a little more than you want to spend. One day I am buying a Reo though.

Look almost all of the way down on this page http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/provape/574862-provarinati-saloon-iv-back-alley-172.html for The Kiwi's pics.

Whats crazy about all this is I already own a charger and batteries (for my badass Fenix flashlight) even prior to knowing that they were used in the Vape world. I have an Intellicore charger and a few rechargeable batteries. So I think I'll get a few dedicated vape batteries now too. something that is a little bit more designed for high use.

I have been thinking about grabbing a box Mod. But just to use while at the house, hence going with the mech mod or something more portable while on the go.

I will check into this now....and.....those REOs are cool. I like the 2.1 and the grand. I'll look into it a bit more. I think I am still sold on a pen style for now.

Yea and you don't even need a tank. You can throw a carto and a drip tip on it and squeeze the bottle a bit to wet the carto, or use a carto tank.
