I *think* that if you have one on order it's the same as this one. When the first "new" BB bottoms came out they switched to those and all BBs or just the BB bottoms are the new ones. "new" means they are 1.5mm(?) longer with a longer spring and will accept 1 14500 (3.7v) or 2 protected CR2s (3v each) -- standard disclaimer: AltSmoke wants you to know that they do not recommend stacking batteries and would rather that you use the LR atomizers instead for the same effect. :)

Whats "limited" about this run is that it's the bottom only sold separately. Mainly for those of us who bought the BB with the shorter bottoms and just want to know that we have options even though we would probably never make use of it.

We don't recommend using any stacked cell approach.

You may want to take a peak at what we have coming though ;)

AltSmoke | Electronic Cigarette Atomizers - Check out the Low Resistance Atomizer

Good Job Quick! Nice reply :)

Yay!!! I didn't think I could be satisfied with less than 6V until I tried a low resistance atomizer on my BB. Now I will never use anything but 3.7V. So glad to see you will be stocking the LR attomizers.

k, so i understand that u dont recommend it, and u probably wont say that its "compatible" with cr2's, but im curious because i wont use Low Resistance atomizers becuz im a cartomizer freak, and honestly i will never buy cr2 batts, but knowing the "new" bb would give me the option is cool :D

At least with the cr2s there are some good protected options now. Great with the 510 cartos or a 2.8 - 3.3 ohm 510 atty and the BB.

Disclaimer: AltSmoke DOES NOT RECOMMEND STACKING BATTS!

As far as I know, no they will not. The protection circuit on the cr2's is weak. They will shut off you're battery during use, and are basically useless for vaping at this point in time. It's a big disappointment, ESPECIALLY since those who sell them (and are part of the vaping community) fail to inform you of this problem. THNX alot.

There is a problem with some standard atties. HV atties work without issue. Me and the wife enjoy 6v BB vaping quite a bit. And, as quick1 said, the protected cr2s will work in the BB with the newer bottom.

What? ESPECIALLY here at AltSmoke both Rob and Chad have repeatedly said that a Joye 510 trips the PCB. I think maybe that's why they aren't offering those batteries (along with the fact that they do not recommend stacking). But... had you been paying attention in class, it appears that the resistance (current draw) threshold is right around 2.7 ohms. So... pretty much ANY atomizer except the Joye 510s (2.2 ohms) works just fine with the protected CR2's. Here is what I've been using.

901s - measure around 3.1 ohms, work wonderfully, last a really long time.
KR808-D cartomizers - measure around 3.0 ohms, work great, last a really long time (haven't burnt one out yet).
801s - measure around 3.1 ohms, sort of work, didn't last at all but I think maybe I got a bad bunch. took them off the list -- note: they burnt out at 6v, had nothing to do with the batteries shutting off.

I use regular 510s at home at 5v with the PT. I've been using the LRs at times with my 3.7v battery. Just depends on what I'm doing at the time and what's going to be most convenient, what mood I'm in, the weather, and a couple of other factors. With a little information (readily available here), a little effort to understand it, and some faith in science your options abound.
