Hey all!

I found this community almost a year ago when I first started "smoking an e-cigarette" as I said at the time. Now I vape.

I had smoked analogs for a few years off and on...mostly quit when my kids were born 7 years ago, but there was always the occasional "I've been drinking" or "I'm deployed" cigarette that found its way into my lungs. That deployment excuse was my favorite...I went 4 times in 3 years so I was smoking more than not...and liking it. I'm on my 5th deployment now, and breaking the cycle has become a priority for me.

About a year ago I bought a V2 starter kit and have been rocking it pretty strong, FWIW. I've been buying juice and filling my own carts, and it's worked out pretty well. Then the battery started going downhill, and the satisfaction went away. I started doing some research here and got the bug. The last thing I want is to pick up another pack of cigarettes, so on Black Friday I took advantage of some sales and have the following on order:

From MyVaporStore: Spinner/Twist Ego VV Tank Combo
From NudeNicotine @ 50%off: 10mls each of Passion Fruit Coconut Cream, Shirley Temple, Honey Tobacco, and Menthol Tobacco.
From DigitalCiggz: joyetech 510 atomizer (2x 5-packs)

I *think* I did ok...the spinner/twist combo looked like a great deal on some solid tech (~$70), and either way, it'll be a heckuva upgrade over what I've got now. I know it's just another slippery slope to spend money on, but everybody's got a vice right?

Anyways, I'm just doin' my intro thing...great forum ya'll have here, hopefully you'll be seeing me around.

Cheers.

Welcome to the forum.

V2 was my first kit after experimenting with disposables, and all of the batteries eventually had to be replaced. Not only that, but those cig-a-like batteries are notorious for only lasting a brief time before needing to be re-charged. I am not familiar with using the brand you picked, but I think you will see a quality difference in the performance. You may also be perplexed at how long it will hold a charge compared to the V2 batteries. By the way, which size battery did you choose? Even if you went with the 650 mAh, you will notice a huge difference--I have two Halo Triton 650 mAh batteries and they easily last all day.

Best of luck!

Hi Jason! The Twists and Spinners are (currently!) my go-tos and I love them. Aesthetics are great, gives a good punch to my kanger minis and with a little tlc should last me awhile. Not saying I would discount moving into the next level, but for now these little workhorses suit me fine. Good luck with yours and happy holidays!

The V2s started me on the road to bigger and better as well. While I dont really use them any longer just cant have enough backups so not willing to part with them yet! Lol

WW: I got the Ego-C Twist 1000mAh and the Vision Spinner 1300mAh. I have no idea what my little V2 cig-a-like batt is, but I have a feeling these both have it beat by an order of magnitude. Can't wait...they should be in today or tomorrow!

Wow JasonG what a nice list of new vaping wares. That link is the first time I ever saw a Spinner/Twist in one package and so many options to boot.
I started with a long and a short 808's, which I'm still using along with an ego-T 900mAh. I have an ego Twist 1000mAh on order.
Acck! All 3 need to be charged.

JasonG you'll be in vaping heaven until something else comes along with your name on it.

Hi and welcome!

You did well on your choices :) That Twist/Spinner combo from MVS is currently the best bang for your buck kit for devices in that class, especially since the batteries are authentic Joyetech and Vision. People seem to have less problems with the name brands, than the generics.

And DigitalCiggz probably has the best prices around for 5 packs of Joyetech 510 attys. If you like the attys, keep an eye out for DC's periodic sales, the bulk prices are even better. Another vendor for bulk attys is Vapor Kings. They are high on almost all of their other products, but the regular prices for 10 - 510 or 306 attys is very good.

Gracious.

I had no idea this is what "real" vaping could be. I just got my first package in today, luckily it was the combo kit I ordered. I got set up with the Vision Spinner 1300 mAh, using the Kanger T3 @ 1.8ohms, filled with a 50/50 Strawberry sample that I forgot I ordered. Just unbelievable. The flavor and vapor is about as far from my old V2 as the V2 is from a real cig...I'm talking quantum leap here. I finally feel like I'm sitting at the big kid's table. If anyone reading this is still on the fence, go check out the kit I got (linked on my first post) and upgrade your life.

Cheers.
