Kay, after a few days of using this settup I decided to get rid of the side hole on the needle. It was just leaking too much juice into the rest of the carto. I cut diagonally forward from the hole in the needle towards the end of it, making a nice sharp point. I did this w/ diagonal cutters, and it worked OK. Just now tried it w/ my medic shears, and that worked even better. Didn't distort the tube as much, and sort of narrowed the opening to a shape that will work better in the carto fill hole. It works, but obviously not as well as a smaller guage needle would. But, I think it is easier to get better flow control than a syringe would, as I am not a doc or an RN and don't know how to use them properly. I will still be getting a couple of needle tip bottles(18 ga), but for now this is working fine. Also, I find that shaking the carto after filling and capping works well to load the filler w/ juice.
