Cool I was looking for battery's, and found a cig lighter that heats a filament with 2 AAA battery's. It may well be able to make vapor, if it can light a normal smoke its heat must burn the tobacco. So it may be able to be used as a atomizer, and last much longer then they normally do.

If the filament wire is strong, then even more voltage could be used. To make more and stronger vapors, as long it did not kill the filament to fast that is.

Sure looks like it would replace an atty coil. The lipo batts in e cigs are 3.7 -4.2 v. 2 AAA would be 3v. You can get 10ft of nichrome wire from here for $2.00 free S&H. The 36ga looks very promising. jacobs-online.biz/nichrome_wire

My new atty measures 3.4ohms and the math looks good on that wire. Got some coming to try. Its posted here somwhere that an atty coil is 1 1/2" long. That wire would be 3.7 ohms at the same length.

I just replaced my wicks on my kerosene heaters for the upcoming winter months, and with the wick they give you a new igniter..
Looks like these might be built even more sturdy then the lighter ones.
The heater igniters use 2-D cell batteries, and light up pretty quickly. Also looks like it may fit nicely in a tube to make into an atty with some modification for some sort of wick to hold the juice...

See how this global cooperation works for everyone? We don't need kerosene heaters in Florida...

Kidding aside - those look promising - from what I can tell from the website - good size, built in bridge and a good connector. I'd be interested to know how they work out... (I'd pick a couple up at the local heater store... But y'know... All they have is air condidtioners...) :)
