Lookie what I found works on 2 AAA battery's

just revisiting this thread. these look as though they would fit in a 801 size tube. and they seem to light up pretty quick with just the 3 volts of 2 c-cell batterys. I havent messed with it, but if you could get some sort of wicking material around it that wont burn, it would probably work real nice, and it looks like it should be an easy mod, just a little fine tuning of wick material and spacing in a tube, and we might have a winner here..

I don't really think the FDA can stop the production of ecigs. With all the intelligent people coming up with different solutions and I think we will even be able to take tobacco and make eliquid out of it.

We can't be stopped.

I can see it now, FDA lobbying for 200 billion to start the E-cig task force...

Google battery BBQ lighters and you will find those igniters in a pen type as well. This is the way to go if you want to mod it.
