Definitely NOT the 213! Thinking about waiting for the ipv 6X, but I don't have much confidence in pioneer4you since the ipv D2 (No step down, utterly useless temp control. Add to the fact that with in an obscenely short time period P4Y dropped about ~4 versions of the same mod)

What other options are out there that:

1- Wont break the bank
2- Compact 2x 18650
3- Reliable TC (specifically for SS as I have no interest in Ni or Ti)
4- Software updatable (Preferably, but not a deal breaker)

Thanks in advance!

I was looking into the Fuachai 213, but between conflicting reports about the TC accuracy and the way Sig handled the DJLsb Vapes situation I'm not sure I want to give them any of my money. Which sucks cause I before that the Fuchai 213 was my number 1 choice... Also, would prefer to use TC in Fahrenheit but as long as it works correctly I guess it makes no difference wether its in F or C lol

What the hell... both of you?

I've got about a dozen TC mods and every damn one of them does both F & C. :p
The 213 doesn't?

For budget TC... JoyeTech, hands down (JTech, Eleaf, Wismec - same company).
QC is working overtime to get back on our good side (I'm looking at you i50), or as much as is to be expected for $25-$35 mods, and they're pushing the envelope for what can be expected in features at that price.

Gawd, I despise my D2's menu so much I won't even think about P4Ys.

There are a metric tonne of mid-range mods... but if the budget will take it, the VT 133 is pretty damn small for a dual 18650 DNA. About $110. :D

Apples and Oranges... If you know what scale you are going to be working in it is not a problem and the Fuchai is half the price of the DNA.

I looked at Wismec and it is appealing but they had a problem with all of them that if the 510 pin was too long they were not fixing them after they were destroyed. The Sigelei SnowWolf 218 TC Mod apparently is the same 3 battery mod as the Wismec and it does not have the issues Wismec has.

Of course not, but what the hell does this even mean ...

"the Sigelei Fuchai 213 now utilizes Celsius based TCR calculation."

LOL, wut? o_O

That's an internal calculation based on materials characteristics, it doesn't effect us at all.

Now if you're saying the menu is only in C, that does effect us... and is stupid. :p

But... they're sure purdy, small too. May keep an eye on them myself.
I have an old Sig75, and while it's dated (no real current TC features) and I dislike its' menu too (different reasons)... it'll probably still be ready to rock when the Sun engulfs the Earth. :p

I have a feeling you like to be right at any cost. Your argumentative approach in helping this person find a mod is not the way to do it however. Some need to be spoon fed, so I'm back again to help you out.

There are two Sigelei 213s. One uses the F scale and one uses the C scale. Most of the charts on ECF use C scale. Watch the video for all of your solutions.

I was going to explain why that vid is bollocks and marketing department backfilling of the hole Sig dug for themselves (just deleted it) but instead I'll just leave the rest, it's more upbeat...

-A quick look about is making the Fuchai appear non-upgradable.
Not confirmed, but that'd be a pass from me. Maybe only a half-point off for the OP.

But you obviously enjoy them and I agree they're sexy little things, so... enjoy. :)

I don't know how you became so freaking delirious, but I'm sick and tired of you trolling about that piece of crap every single time it is mentioned.

Welcome, you are now the first person on my ignore list, enjoy.

I'm starting to think I should just up my budget .

P4Y has been 50/50 for me- IPV S2 worked very well for me but the D2 made me want to punch them... in the face

Sig brewed up a .... storm and basically dropped a product that was not completely ready for retail release (imo) plus no software upgradeability, which wouldn't be a big deal if it was preforming as prommised

Joytech (and it's subsidiaries) have terrible 510's as experienced with my RX200

DNA don't sound bad, but I'm on a Mac and don't want to have to jump through too many hoops to do software updates and whatnot

*Sigh* Maybe I'm just too picky. Whats a guy to do?

Edit-
I had heard that YiHi boards were supposed to be really reliable and if I'm not mistaken, that's what P4Y uses so why so many complaints about their mods?

The cuboid maybe? It's a bit tall for my liking but it is pretty compact, my vtc mini handles 316L perfectly...

I've been trying forever to get joyetech to release a dual battery version of the VTC mini with no luck... I don't need 150-200 watts I just want longer battery life :(

If the Cuboid had a better 510 it would probably be perfect for me. I'm a bigger guy so I guess the term "compact" is relative ha ha ha, maybe pocket friendly is a better choice of words. And yeah, I have no need for anything above 75 watts I just need a nice long battery life:toast:

I'm playing with a 26650 mod now.
Never thought I would as, except for I believe Sony, they're too focused on capacity (mAh) and ignoring the capability (CDR) possible with the larger can. Generally... those 30+A CDR claims are fiction, and many barely match a good 20A CDR 18650.

But for this application... I'm gonna see how far I can take 4200mAh at only 40w. :p

The Kanger KBox 160 TC, if you can find it, I got mine from MVS for $38, but they are out of stock right now. I have had mine for a few weeks now and it has become my goto mod, especially with SS.

I am not sure why there isn't more buzz about it, maybe because it isn't widely available, but it is a solid device. If I had to knock anything about it, it would be that it doesn't have a TCR mode. Other than that I can't say anything bad about it.
