I tried a "Caramel Cappuccino" from a local vendor and absolutely loved it. I asked the guy for the recipe since he makes them himself but he acted like this peon wasn't worthy of his superior knowledge.

I have been trying to clone it but have failed over and over. What im looking for is something that tastes like a Frappucino, a hint of sweet but with the underlying mocha/cappuccino flavor. It would be my all day vape if i get it right, I have got a few recipes i'm going to try from http://www..................... that sounded pretty good.

What i'm asking is does anyone have an excellent Frappucino recipe you would share? I've been trying to get this recipe for about a year now and i'm about to give up. I've dropped a lot of loot on this stuff. but i'm still smoking too many analogs, and as soon as i get a flavor i love, with a little WTA, i believe I'll be on my vaping way

Thanks in advance for any help!

I made a coffee mix that was good at first but it sat in a bottle for 2-3 weeks and now it is even better. I used LorAnn Keoke Coffee flavor at 8%, Caramel 4%, Chocolate 2% and Bavarian Cream 2% for a total of 16% flavoring. Use more or less of each flavoring to suit your tastes while realizing that coffee flavors tend to be on the stronger side than most.

I hope you find your perfect vape!

I don't know that the vendor was trying to snub you, its just that if they gave away their recipes they'd be out of business plus as you know it can take a really long time and a lot of money to perfect a killer recipe. I like the espresso from FlavourArt its pretty strong, espresso, sweet cream and caramel, play around with percentages of each and add a drop or 2 of sweetener it usually satisfies my need for a good coffee.

Oh yeah, I totally understand why he wouldn't give out the recipe. He runs a business. And nobody came off as rude, He made a killer recipe, and I'm having a tough time even coming close. So i would keep it to myself too.

What really got me was his arrogant attitude, acting like the king of the vapor or something. I won't go back to his biz. But he did show his ignorance, he told me to mix 10ml of 24mg and 10ml of 12mg to make 20ml of 36mg. I said... "uhhhh I don't think it works like that, if anything your making 16-18mg" Thats probably why he got pissy cause i made him look like a fool.

a few other vapor shops have opened in my area and i usually go in there and give them my good recipes. This one shop didn't even know what my Tesla MOD was. She said "What is THAT thing?" I don't have much faith in her shop if she had never seen a MOD before. this other shop has me come in and make his flavors when he's too busy to do it. (his supplies and recipes of course) But I'm done trying to clone that recipe, I'm just gonna go my own way.

Thanks for all the input everyone! I'll try that recipe HighPlains.

There is a flavoring called "Caramel Cappuccino" by The Flavor Apprentice that many people rave about. It's an exceptionally strong concentrate usually used at 1 drop per ml of mix or less. I use one drop per 2ml and it's plenty strong. Mixed light, it's extremely delicious, mm... The flavor is...uh...very caramel cappuccino.

Problem is, what one vaper calls "frappucino" might be another vaper's "Kona milkshake" and another's "caramel cappuccino". If TFA's flavoring is what you're chasing, you'll be in luck, because it's very simple to make your own.

I have the TFA Caramel Cap but haven't tried it yet (just got it a couple of days ago). But I did smell it and it's very strong. I've seen some people suggest using 1 drop per 10ml  . I'm thinking of making it with some Sweet Cream and maybe even a touch of Vanilla and or a touch more Caramel. I've also heard it does better with some steeping.

Cheers,
Steve

Will do LD. In the same order I also received Mocha Flavor (TFA also smells a touch strong). I have a few ideas in mind. So many flavors, so little time :D (actually I'm waiting on some glass bottles I ordered).

Cheers,
Steve

Oh yeah, I tried that TFA Caramel Cappuccino, and it's super strong. i used one drop per 10ml but it wasn't what i was looking for. It had a very nice flavor, but use some sweet cream with it and it's pretty good. Be careful with it because it's extremely strong. I saw one recipe using 4% of the TFA CC. there's no way i would try that, that much TFA CC would curl my toenails!

Thanks again everyone!

Personally, I think it depends on your taste buds. I have a hard time tasting anything and the TFA Caramel Cappucino at 1 drop per 5 ml was too light for me. 2 drops was too light. I'll be making it a little stronger so I can taste it better. I'm thinking 1 drop per ml for me, but that's due to my taste buds that have not awakened in the month since I quit smoking.

If you have quit smoking, I think it depends on how long it's been and how well your buds have recovered. Just MHO.

I found it's best to make a solution of coffee in PG 1 drop per 10ml then add a few drops to your base from that. The problem is coffee is super concentrate and even 1 drop per 10ml can be way overpowering. It depends what you mix it with and how your buds react to the flavor combo and what voltage it's vaped along with the type of delivery device. all these variables will have an impact on how strong it tastes and coffee in a cheap clearo might be weak in contrast to a protank or something less muted.

As an example a coffee and peppermint came out horrible for me (aiming for peppermint mocha) even at 1 drop per 10ml. I ended up making killer peppermint eggnog with the mix and the mint with eggnog helped drown out the coffee. To get something good it took lots of diluting and adding to the point I ended up with over 600ml of this stuff. I won't even try to make it again because it took two weeks to get it right and it was to much adding and subtracting to even consider formulating an exact recipe. But a friend who hates anything mint actually said it was great as the mint was not so in your face even though around 16ml of TFA peppermint, 2ml of mint candy, unknown amount of other flavors and about 6ml of LA Eggnog was used.

Even at 1 drop per 10ml it can end up smelling like someone burnt the house down. I bought it and have had NO luck getting anything I like out of it. Diluted to 20ml and still smelt burnt. 20ml of wasted e-liquids.

Give it two to three weeks and see how it tastes after that. It really takes a long time to mellow just like tobacco. That's the hard thing when working with coffee flavoring it takes forever to know when you get it right.

FunkD, in what way is TFA Caramel Capp different from the flavor you're looking for? Now that we know one you've tried, if you can tell us what's not right about it, people can give you a better idea of what to try next.

What it was missing was a slightly sweet flavor and a slight coffee/espresso flavor to it. The TFA CC also had a kind of burnt flavor to it. and this was 1 drop per 10ml.

I think it's my taste buds, I haven't completely given up the analogs and I'm using a wick style clearomizer (iclear 30). I'm going to get a new 5ml cart tank because that's what i was using when i found the flavor i liked. I've probably gotten the flavor down but i'm missing part of the flavor since i'm using the wick style system.

pretty much what the flavor tasted like was just like a starbucks doubleshot + energy coffee flavor that comes in the aluminum cans. like the kind in this link. http://www.bevreview.com/2009/01/22/starbucks-doubleshot-energycoffee-coffee/ not as sweet but with a hint of caramel and a hint a coffee or espresso. it was labelled "caramel cappuccino" but like someone said, who knows what all he had in it.

I'm going to try the flavors i have with a new cart tank and see how that does. I'm probably missing a lot of flavor notes with the wick system.

Thanks a lot for the help everyone

My first DIYs were all coffee flavors. I was revolted by most Coffee flavorings, but I eventually found two I enjoy.

Nature's Flavor's organic Coffee tastes like a simple cup of coffee with plenty of cream and a bit of sweet, just like I drink coffee. I used it for a while.

Then I found FlavourArt Coffee Espresso. Nothing else even begins to compare, in my opinion. The secret to using it is to get any other flavors right first, the caramel, sweetener, cream (FA Fresh Cream is super), chocolate, and so on. Then add just a drop per couple of ml of the Espresso flavoring. It's powerful and a drop goes a long way. Excellent espresso flavor, and *perfect* for making your own cappuccino flavors. I think Espresso with Fresh Cream and optional other flavors makes a much better cappuccino than FlavorArt's Cappuccino flavor! Mixed on its own at 2-3%, this the closest flavor I've found to a fresh-pressed, strong espresso.

So if you want to make lots of fancy coffee drinks, I give FA Coffee Espresso two HUGE thumbs up.

When I get burnt flavor, I always try at a lower voltage on a vv eGo battery. Sometimes it helps.

Thanks a lot HeadInClouds, I'm not really worried about any super fancy coffee type flavors. but a mocha espresso sounds good with a bit a fresh cream and a touch of sweet. I'll order the FA espresso, but what sweetner would you recommend? i have sucralose and ethyl maltol crystals. also I need to read around and find a good mocha flavor, i might try TFA or FA. but I'm ordering the FA coffee espresso on my next order this week. I'll try the FA C/E at 1 or 2% maybe 2% fresh cream and maybe 3% of whatever mocha i find. now i gotta figue our which sweetner to use and how much. u usually make 10ml test bottle and let them steep and if i like it i make 40ml in my amber bottles

oh, and I was getting the burnt flavor on a 3.7v ego battery and a vivi nova 2.4ohm so idk. I went and bought the Boge F16 Cartomizer Tank and its giving a lot more flavor. rocking it at 5v on my tesla and i'm really enjoying it. I have officially been turned to a cartomizer man now, lol.

Thanks again, I'll try those flavors out man and report back in this thread.

Over 4 months in steep, checking and shaking, aired out a couple of times and it still has a Very Strong Burnt smell. I smoked fairly heavy for over 45 years and enjoy strong flavors, drink a ton of coffee and don't have much problem with strong smells. My TFA CC wreaks!
I seperated portions and have added Caramel Candy, Chocolate, Vanilla cream, sweet cream - All still smell Burnt.

FA doesn't have a Mocha flavor that I know of. I do like their Cocoa, though - beats other chocolate flavors I've collected. It's another pretty strong flavor. With FA Espresso it makes chocolate-covered espresso beans. A mix of mostly Fresh Cream with a bit of Espresso and Cocoa would be a basic mocha flavor. FA Chocolate is also good, but I use Cocoa more often.

I've used 2 Mocha flavors. TFA's has more espresso taste than Flavor West's, which tastes more like creamy coffee to me. I found FW bland and if I recall correctly, it was a coil clogger. TFA's worked okay until I started using FlavourArt - I've never liked the "cream" in TFA flavorings; they taste sort of spoiled-milk to me.

I think sweeteners are a matter of opinion. I use both Sucralose and EM, not really in any set pattern. I prefer the taste of EM, but not in the volume required to add lots of sweetness. No reason you couldn't use a bit of both.

I am trying to reduce the sweeteners to keep my coils clean longer, but I have a sweet tooth! Now I'm more likely to add a sweet flavor instead, especially in coffees, bakery, and desserts recipes. I use a lot of Flavor West's Caramel Candy and Candy Cane. TFA's White Chocolate is another "sweetener" I like, really super with FA's Espresso. It works much like a very sweet, heavy cream, and I'm getting a lot of use from it.

You're brave to make 10ml test bottles. Mine are only 1-3ml, and 15ml is the most I make. I don't even own a 40ml bottle, lol. I mix new things almost daily, and I rarely age anything intentionally. If it's not gone within a few days, I really didn't like it.

I hope you like FA, and I look forward to reading your impressions :)
