Hope this is the right place to post this if not im sorry,

Anyway i'm looking to purchase a dna 20 mod, because i watch a lot of vaping youtube videos and it seems that the dna 20 mod is Riptrippers go to mod!

Anyway with that said i was wondering what is the best/most top of the line Dna 20 mod available!
I've been looking at Futura and the Opus D, and have heard mixed reviews about both...I was wondering which one of those two you would choose and maybe there is a better one that i'm missing...
Ive also been considering a Mech mod, but i think the Dna 20 is better....am i wrong?
Thanks in advance,

Dylan

The DNA boards are great if vw is what you are wanting. A mech can output a lot more power with the right battery, setup, and knowledge on how to use it correctly. But would need to change coils to change power. The DNA is limited to 20 watts. Well beyond the normal vapors need or want. Can change power on the fly and built in safety features. Hanna mods has two versions that are very nice and sturdy. I would give them a look.

a provari is not the same as a DNA20 go to provape and look at the specs then go to evolvdna20 pdf and look at the specs then you can compare and make up your own mind if you choose a DNA20 be prepared to wait there are different box shaped mods maybe about half are available if a tube fits your needs than i think you will be waiting , i waited 3mo for my futuras i have had no problems but thats what a warranty is for any body that has had a problem has had it fixed rather quick here a pic of the ones i got DSC01889.jpg

I actually received it yesterday after ordering on November 18, 2013. It is serial number 0043. I don't believe they are currently taking orders, but while I was waiting for it to come, several times I nearly bought a ProVari mini from my local B&M. Luckily I didn't because the feel of the Futura is IMO much nicer. The finish does have a very, very slight texture and that slight metal flake that can be seen in the photo. The best part is, the device itself with an 18650 and Nimbus full of juice still weighs noticeably less than my Vamo V3 with battery only.

One downside to it is that there is a slight recess to the positive battery pin, meaning my NCR18650PDs won't work in it without modification. But a DNA20 with swappable batteries was what I craved, and I didn't want to deal with the slight wiggle of a telescoping mod.

I Too have been seeking a DNA 20 or at least think i need one, I have two vv/vw 15w devices and one mech so im not sold on needing one yet. I almost pulled the trigger on about 3 different DNA 20s and one 50W device over the last three months but Im glad I havent yet, DNA30s are on their way soon.

But I know the DNA30s will be pricey maybe more than the DNA20s so I have decided to wait for them and save but in the meantime I may get The Big nasty, a 26650 battery mech to tied me over, who knows?

I would say wait for the DNA30, I have a feeling they will be out this spring, this is all hopeful thinking on my part.

It's a mixed bag. I own mechs and ordered a Futura with a DNA30 this morning. The mechs are nice, cheap, and do a great job when setup correctly. As the battery winds down, the power steadily drops so they're inconsistent. If you put in a kick to make them consistent you're essentially recreating a Chinese mod except that you're paying more. On the high end, they do offer unmatched power possibilities. The Futura, especially with the DNA 30, offers more power than most will ever need, unfortunately at the expense of finesse on power handling below about 7-8 Watts. The vape will be quite consistent and more powerful than a kicked mech but you'll pay for that. What are YOUR priorities? Typical power levels?
