I've only been vaping for a about a month now and i'm still trying to figure out what really works best for me.I do know what didn't work, those batteries that i had to charge over and over and over and over. So i went and got me a VV Lava tube. Really enjoying it BTW! ;) What i have noticed is the clearomizers seem to really work great for me. I have a tank with that uses a dual cartomizer(2.5 ohm)but i don't seem to get the flavor from it i like as when i use just a regular carto. The dual cartos are prepunched but do you think i should make the whole bigger? (vaping Boba bounty BTW) I've really enjoyed the clearomizers and would like to find a tank mod that uses a clearomizer. I've looked at a few sites that have the Viva Nova tank but none are in stock. Can anyone reffer me to a site that has them in stock? Also any other sites that have a tank mod that you think i might should try? Thanks in advance

I have a lavatube too and I agree. Clearomizer tanks are the way to go. The Vivi Nova is being revised. I can't find the new one either. I wouldn't get the first version. If you can find one, the Vision Stone 3 tank is excellent. It may be discontinued though, since the Vivi Nova came out, so you won't be able to get the innards anymore, although Gotvapes claims they'll be getting more sometime in the future.

You can find a few Vision Stone 2 tanks. These are also a great CE2 tank, but you might have to do a minor tweak to prevent it from leaking at the bottom. That leak was fixed on the VS3.

The Acorn tank from Parkevaping.com is an inexpensive CE2 tank with replaceable innards. It looks a bit cheezy, but I hear it works great, and the price is right.

If you're having trouble with your carto tank and it's a Smoketech pre-punched with one hole, then enlarge the hole or punch another one. The Smoketech cartos have a notoriously small hole, especially for high VG juice like Bobas.

The Smoketech DCT will fit a steel CE2-XL perfectly, no leaks, no modding except putting some
big holes or slots in the carto just above the bottom plug, and just under the top coil / ceramic cup.

That's true. if you want to modify a CE2, any tank will work with them. If you can find it, the MC tank uses a CE2, but you pull the plastic tube off the carto and just use the guts. Great tank, but not easy to find.

Ahaha! Yep, but I say it looks a bit 'corny' rather than 'cheesy,' hence the A'corn,' but cheesy works, too.. I love it, though. My Acorn Tank hasn't leaked a drop anywhere and it provides for a nice and smooth clean vape, and with no gurlgling or splashing. I've been using it for thicker dark juices like peanutbutter and a coffee one. It seems to be the only one I have so far that can handle those juices. Great price and I've already ordered another one. /Rave

Looks like altsmoke.com also has the vivi novas in stock. I believe they're the version 1 though.

I've tried the Vision V2 Clearomizers (also known as "Stardust" clearo) and that's worked decently well for me. It does mute the flavor somewhat, but they perform well. Recent I've been playing with a Smoketech 5mL DCT, and I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. I'm still adjusting to using it properly and I've got a single coil XL carto to try on it coming in the mail.

One thing to keep in mind with any tank system is that there will be a learning curve to make it perform well. Carto punching/slotting, priming, etc etc etc...every system is a little different. I think that the key is to be patient, figure out what works with each system, then decide what you like after you've given each a fair shake. I'm going to be picking up a vivi nova tank and a phiniac tank in the near future to continue my quest for the perfect tank (for me).

This one appears to have brass end caps......is that right?

That looks fishy to me. I know they don't come that way. At any rate, even if it is a genuine one, I see no indication that it's the version 2. There were enough problems with version 1 that I'm gonna' wait until ver 2 gets vetted a little bit.
