Hi all!

Just got into squonking, via a Terminator clone off evilbay about a month ago. Love it, but not thrilled with the atty.

Picked up a Hobo clone, because it listed that it included a BF pin. HEAVEN! It now lives atop a Vaporflask squonk clone

My question is: is there any list of other atties that include a BF pin, or can take one? I know the Hastur V2 does (will be ordering one next week). But would like to find other options (without having to sit at the local B&M taking things apart). Any help would be appreciated!

Two post RDAs like the Velocity or Hobo are the easiest. You just need to source a "vented screw" with the correct threads. Then cut or file to length and replace the stock pin. These types of RDAs typically don't completely drain when the squonk is released (plus for some, minus for other, many don't care either way).

Next would be RDAs where the center post threads onto the positive pin contact. Often found on four posts that have a T center post. Though some three posters do have a two piece center post. Similar to above, a vented screw is used. There is some additional work. Just above where the post meets the deck a hole needs to be drilled on one or both sides of the center post. Some RDAs have center post screws that start smooth and wide then taper down to very small threads. A vented screw will not work for them.

The most difficult to mod, but require no additional parts, are RDAs with one piece center posts. This type of center post is usually friction fit in the insulator. First mark where the deck level is on the center post. Next, after removing the coil screw, press the center pin out the bottom with pliers or a C-clamp. The side(s) need to be drill similar to the two piece center post. Last, and pretty difficult by hand/easy with a drill press, a hole needs to be drilled through the bottom to the level of the side holes. Careful not to go to far and bugger the threads or punch out the side.

There is a technique where a channel is cut in the insulator for the juice to flow. It often works, but opens up the risk for a dead short.

Fat Daddy Vapes sells a vented screw that is a popular thread size.
