Hello all, my name is Austin. I haven't been vaping too long. It's been about 2 months. Recently both of my kgo batteries have crapped out on me. What I use are 1100 mah kgo pass through batteries with clear cartomizers. There seems to be a problem with the juice leaking out of the bottom of the cartomizers and going into the batteries. One of my batteries now just blinks (like it's dead) and the other acts like it's working but no vapor actually comes out (seems like a connection problem?). Has anybody heard of this happening? If so, is there any way to fix/prevent this from happening? I'll attach a couple pictures so you can see what I'm talking about.

Thanks,

Austin

Well it sounds like the leaking probably ended the life of the flashing battery? I have not experienced that issue as of yet. I have a backup to my backups backups ego battery that has the firing issue you are describing that is happening with your other battery. I discovered the little center pin in the battery pops out I blew everything out with air and put the pin back and all has been mostly well since. Occasionally it needs a little shake. Almost like that pin is *barely* making a connection.

Also - I would discontinue use of any noticeably leaking cartos and replace - I had a leaky clearo and I certainly attribute using it to the decline of the aforementioned ego battery!

Okay, well I pried that round little circle (pin?) out form the battery with that mettle piece from a finger nail clipper.. It's connected to a cord that goes down into the battery so it's just kinda dangling there and not out completely (I'm using the for sure broken one as a test run). It looks kinda crazy so I'm not sure if I'm doing this right.. haha.

Clean the the battery connection with a Qtip & rubbing alcohol thoroughly. Really get down in there and get it new & shiny looking.
Then clean the under side of the clearo's, let dry and givem a try, if nothing still:
Clearo's are disposable/consumables they can last anywhere between 3 hours to 3 months before they need to be replaced.

The top of ego batteries is sealed, juice isn't gonna get down into the battery unless it has been damaged. Over tightening delivery devices can push the positive pin down or air tube up making it so that power won't reach the clearo. You can try gently prying up the center pin to see if it will make contact with clearo. You do not want to yank or see wires, slight gentile upward manipulation only.
Over tightening delivery devices can create leaks, a couple drops of juice on the center pin is normal using most delivery devices. This needs to be dried & cleaned as routine maintenance. Daily is best - weekly minimum.

I just pulled mine up a smidgeon and blew it out with compressed air. I let it be overnight and it has been mostly working since. It was just a little mini 350mah ego - so I was not concerned if it was forever broken as it wasn't working anywho. You may try just using a qtip to clean the one that is lighting up but not firing and let it sit a while to make sure the connection is clear and dry?

Topwater Elvis has the correct way listed to raise the pin, you don't want to see wires, 8-o

As for the clearo's, those look like CE4 or similar, the only thing I ever found that I despise, always leaked and had a really tight draw.

Try something else for a topper, not everything leaks, maybe a Kanger Evod, make sure it says Kanyger, and not just Evod. Clones are hit and miss.

Steve, the only reason I haven't tried any other kind of carto is because I'm scared to get them and they won't fit the battery. Do you know if the the Kanger Evod will fit a kgo/ego?

Yes it will, the Kanger Evod is Ego cone threaded. Ego cone threading is the outer threading, a little larger and closer to the firing button.

510 threading is what you have been messing with, it is the center threading that has the pin.

Anything with Ego cone threading, or 510 threading should fit right on the Kgo, (Kgo is an Ego by another name).
