When you first start using a new atomizer, there is a decent chance it will taste icky due to the primer used when new ones are sent out. To get rid of it, I usually drip 3-4 drops on the bridge, vape that without inhaling, then continue that cycle with only a drip or 2 in between until the bad taste is gone.
Trouble shooting:
Poor vapor output 1)check filler to make sure it is moist 2)check atomizer to see if it is flooded, and if so, blow out excess
juice 3)check my power source (battery, usb plug on computer, or power pack)
Bad or burny taste (these can go in any order really) - 1)check filler to make sure it is moist, and/or try another filled cart 2)check atomizer to see if it seems dry, and if so, add 2-3 drops of juice 3)check atomizer to see if it seems excessively hot, and if so let it rest or switch attys 4)if using poly type filler, check for fibers on atomizer, and gently remove any strands with tweezers 5)make sure plastic cart doesnt look like it could be melting. This has only been a problem with a couple of my carts (I think they were not made quite right or possibly got warped), but it looked like the bridge was sitting too close to the straight edge of the cart. You can toss them in the trash, or shave out a little of the plastic along the inside edge with a hobby knife. 6)if your battery has a self-cleaning function, its gonna taste pretty terrible for a bit when its done. Some people try to dodge the self-clean by unscrewing their battery when they see the number of led blinks that tells you its going to happen. If it self-cleans, treat it the same way you treat an atomizer that still has factory primer on it, and eventually it should taste fine again.
Juice coming through cart into mouth 1)make sure cart is not overfilled 2)make sure battery is not low/power source is working properly 3)make sure drags are soft and slow enough, since hard drags can pull juice out of the cart into your mouth.
Hard draw 1)blow out atomizer 2)check to make sure cart filling is not too tightly packed 3)check battery/power source 4)try a different atty
Hope that helps
