Hi all. I love this forum. I used to vape on ego c and then I went through 3 evics that broke down on me even though I never dropped them or mishandled them. I'm looking for a durable ecig that has durable clear cartomizers for it (some cartos did break on me). Right now I'm smoking analog's and I'm hating it. I also tried the vuse but the battery/cartridge dies too fast and it tastes awful. The battery should last at least 1.5 days. My evic would last me a week with light vaping. In short, I would like an ecig with all the qualities of the evic except for the "no atomizer found" problem.

Thanks!

"No atomizer found" is usually an indication that the center pin of the battery is not making a connection with the atomizer of the clearomizer/tank. This usually occurs from over-tightening the tank onto the battery connector. Here is something you can try. Just make sure that if you use something conductive (metal) to pry up on the center pin that you do NOT hit the fire button while you are working on the battery. Or better yet, turn off the battery.

Center Pin Issue - Fixing a non firing eGo battery

If you continue to have problems, buy a few spacers from MadVapes. They solve all connectivity problems. Just drop one into the 510 well of your battery and you're good to go!

Definitely clear up what's important - cuz if it's RELIABLE AND DURABLE and you like variable voltage and a good Clearo like the Nautilus, then you really can't beat a Provari (V2 or 2.5 is what I'm thinking). Maybe a used one from the classifieds, for like $100. You can hammer nails with it, and then vape away.

But it won't offer the menus of an Evic, not even variable watts...just up and down with the voltage...

Another option is one of the popular small variable boxes - an Innokin MVP2 is probably a great bet. Been around a while, and still a good device. You get all the control, use the same clearos, and it's a real nice vape - just not quite as durable, and the battery's built in with a lifespan (maybe a year, maybe more).
There's a new one really hot, called the eLeaf iStick that's similar in capabilities, and even smaller. Again - it's like $40 and a great vape - it's just not been tried out as long yet.

Not everybody cares for "box mods" but at least check out the Innokin VTR. talk about durable. I'm something of a klutz and mine has held up to all kinds of fumbles. Doesn't look so shiny anymore and is losing the "chrome" and has scratches but keeps on trucking.

It's main weakness are the threads. I got a cheap air flow regulator to be a "buffer" between the tank and the threads. So Im not wearing the threads down on the unit changing tanks out. Just the regulator's threads. And I have spares if that goes.

They're heavy and boxy and not everybody likes them but, man, mine has survived a lot and took it in stride. I also like the iClear 30s (not just 30... The one withan "s" at the end) that it comes with. Dual coil, nice vapor production, nice tanks.

It's a bit steep for "start up" (101vapes has the best price I've seen at about $70) and you need a battery charger (if you don't already have one) and FLAT 18650s. Bottom tops don't always fit (I've never found one that does myself). But mine's near a year old and I've done just about everything but run over it with the pickup and it's chugging along just fine.

I once had two genuine ego-c twist batteries (can't candle a drop on the floor). Now I have an Innokin iTaste MVP v.20 with a protank 3 with the airflow control upgrade, and the protank 3 have dual coils. Also you have a few choices of color of glass tank you want. I choose clear my self because I like to see my liquid as it is. I use NJoy's new juice for their ego batteries. I also have their new recharge batteries that alternate with the MVP. Of all the vendor's juices I've tried, I like NJoy's the best. Although I only tobacco flavors for now, I can only speak for their tobacco and menthol. Later I'll try their blueberry, sure it'll be good too. I hope that helps.

My :2c:

If you have a working battery and just suffer from occasional connectivity issues, get those spacers from Madvapes and wait. MVP3 is about to be released--two versions: one with Evolv's DNA 30 chipset, the other, luxury (and more expensive one), possibly with DNA 40. I wouldn't buy anything right now; even if you don't like the MVP3, prices for MVP2 will most likely go down. But that's the one to watch right now!

Right. However, instead of buying a ProTank 3 (without airflow control), I'd just buy an Aerotank! :)

I'll 2nd, 3rd,4th or whatever the MVP. It is a well proven performer that will last a couple days on a charge with average vaping. (Whatever that is). They are very solid and can take some abuse. You can get them online for about $40 and they come with an iclear tank. I'd get a different tank but that's just me.
