hi,
I'm thinking of getting a new regulated mod. The one I use now uses a single 18650, it's ok but i would like longer before having to recharge.

I'd prefer not to have one with the batteries in series so was wondering if anyone could reccomend a decent one that runs two 18650's in parallel for around $50-$60.
I'm after something around 50w output, preferably be able to run builds down to .3ohm and have a good max amp output.

Thanks.

smok Xpro M80 has 4400mah proprietary parallel lipo 18650-sized cells. It's not a battery-swappable unit, but 4400mah is all-day for most people. I'm using the M65, and the single 18650 drops-off about 5-6hrs and need a charge. I feel your pain. With the Allen screws to swap a batt, I use 2 different units in rotation.
There are other options for what you're looking for, but the one I suggested was just my first thought. Others will be along shortly... Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I was looking for one without fixed batterys.
i've had a look on fasttech and found this.
$56.90 50W VW Variable Wattage APV Box Mod - w/ temperature control function / 2*18650 / aluminum alloy / black at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Looks like a vapor flask and the specs look good for the price. Only thing is I'm not sure if it runs batteries in parallel it doesn't say in the specs. Also looks like it has a fixed center pin on the 510 connection not adjustable or spring loaded which could be a real pita if my attys don't fit.
well I'll keep looking for now to see if i can find something better.

Just looked at that link. It does say spring loaded center pin.

vapour flask is the only regulated replaceable battery mod that I know of that uses parallel batts.

the disadvantage of parallel batts is if you make a mistake and put in the batts the wrong way; you only have to make that mistake once. with series batts you put them in the wrong way the mod won't turn on.

You might want to consider getting a mod that allows a fast battery changeout and carrying a spare battery with you. That will broaden your choices of mods considerably and allow you to use a smaller device.

If you just want to carry a single battery as a spare to save pocket/purse space you can put it in an empty prescription bottle or use a couple of these silicone battery protectors to protect the entire battery's circumference, EVVA Protective Silicone Case for 18650 Battery (4-Pack).
