I am using Volcanos Inferno batteries, so i should have some options out there seeing as how this is just a rebranded 510.

Three things i have tried, and my experiences with each. My main issue here is consistency, longevity, and ease of use. Maybe someone can help me find the right method.

Dripping
Excellent flavor, good throat hit, lots of vapor. Not idea for anything but sitting at a desk or on the couch. Its just way to inconvenient. I understand these take some time to figure out, but its really frustrating. Get a burnt or metallic taste for not keeping it wet enough, drip one or two drops and end up flooding it. All in all, dripping is awesome, but its just so inconvenient its not something i can do at work, in the car, etc.

Tankomizer
These give me an exceptionally large amount of vapor for what they are, throat hit is almost on par with dripping. Flavor always seems to be a little faded, or plasticy but not much, doesnt affect the flavor enough for me to not use them though. However, i also cant seem to keep these consistently working properly. Plugged airways, burnt taste randomly (assuming because of the blocked air ways from moisture build up, which drys out the wick without knowing.) Whenever this happens, i seem to dry hit it to reprime it, but end up flooding it...argh.

Tube Tank
This thing is hands down the best of both worlds, plus extra from each. By far this thing outshines both methods, but seems to have its drawbacks as well. Wicking issues, tiny hole doesnt seem to be doing its job of keeping the cart wet enough. Seems to do fairly well if i dont use it as often, and let it sit longer. I know alot say to punch or slant bigger/more feed holes, but i see alot of mixed things on this method. To wet, flooding, etc..
The Tube Tank is awesome though, 4ml tank, dual 1.5ohm, gives me a really warm hit, enormous vapor cloud, extreme flavor, and an excellent throat hit (presumably because of the warmth and what seems like a more direct untainted hit. I cant keep it from leaking though, even just using it at my desk. The seal on these is just not acceptable to me. There has to be a better way. There is no way i could put this in my pocket, and even in a case i would think just a slight bump and the juice would leak out.

Everything i have is from Volcano, and it has kept me off analogs for 10 days... short, but a big deal for me. I am enjoying vaping far more than i thought i would, and dont even think about analogs anymore. Im not one to give up and say "If these dont start working for me better, im gonna go grab a pack of smokes and say F it.) I will end up spending more and more keeping it alive, or until i find something solid that works everyday.

Is there a different brand tank, tube, etc.. that would work or possibly fill in some of my issues with one or more of the things/methods i listed above?

Maybe im doing it/all wrong and someone can show me the light.
Any suggestions/feedback would be greatly appreciated!

There is not one perfect solution for all these problems. All e-cigs can leak to an extent, some more than others.

I find CE2 type cartomisers ( many brands, Bauway, Royal Smoker, GotVapes Fluxomisers or Vision Extremes) to be equal with dripping flavor and hit wise. Vision Extremes are designed not to spill when turned over and solve a few other problems CE2's can have. They don't leak a lot on their own.

I find These types leak most after you have had the power on them for too long and they get too hot. The juice gets forced out of the air holes from the heat. Condensation does get produced but not to any extent that will water down the juice or hamper your vaping experience. You can find most of these in a 5 pack for 9 to 11 bucks and each one can last you at least a month, except for the Vision Extremes from Got Vapes, these cost 8 dollars each. They can be worth the price if you take care of them. I have had the ones I got last two months now and still going strong.

Non Vision Extreme CE2's (Bauway, Royal Smoker) do have rubber stoppers in them to help prevent leaking if turned over but they don't work as well as the Vision Extreme design.

If you like the larger tanks GotVapes also has a new 5 ml tank called the Vision Stone Tank. It has threaded top and bottom caps that won't leak and is designed with a few other Got Vapes special improvements over the existing technology.

Well there are better built tanks, and I personally don't use DCC's
Here is my eGo with a carto tank as just one example
    P1000484.jpg

I use 1.7 or 2ohm single coil cartos with a tank using delrin end caps with both inner and outer o-rings.
I also punch my own cartos using a saddle valve. I turn the saddle valve one full turn past initial penatration for proper carto wicking.
BTW an eGo cone cut to the proper length makes a good juice well to catch any liquid that leaks from the connection.

that's been my experience as well. condensation is the ce2 issue. as a result i always recommend /regular size/ ce2 with 4-5 filled in rotation.

i ordered stainless steel ce2 from healthcabin and pleasantly surprised. no 'plastic' taste and as good as smokey/fluxos after the 'see your juice level' novelty wears off.

and ce2 cleaning is super easy .. soak in vodka, use one of those aircans to dry, fill, plug and go. these things will last months.

That thing looks pretty solid. I suppose there is no real good indication on life since they appear to be brand new. Gonna grab one and give it a test.

THanks for the informative post and the links, really appreciate it.

The punch-through plus one full turn is exactly what I came up with; glad to have some confirmation. Scribes, I'm no expert, but it looks like the hole (is it just one hole?) in your carto is way too small, especially for a 1.5 ohm. I'm punching two holes in my Boge 2 ohm cartos, and I never get a dry burn.

I make my tanks for a dollar or less apiece, based on the 'submarine' tank I bought at Mom & Pop Vapers. My tanks NEVER leak; I carry my PV in my shirt pocket. Oh, and BTW the carto that came with that M&P tank I bought had 3 (!) holes punched in it, and it worked like a champ.

I was troubled with flooding, but I think I figured it out. It seemed mostly to happen after filling, so I think that if I refill before the liquid level drops below the holes in the carto, then flooding can be a thing of the past. This has worked for me for a few days anyway, so we'll see.

    Good luck

Yeah, thats the one and only hole on the entire thing. A few dry hits from time to time seem to help a bit with that, maybe i just need to spend some extra time with it. The fact that this thing slides open way to easy though, is killing the ability for me to use it as a daily on the go and at work tool.

    Thanks for the information.

I have read that people are putting bigger/more holes in these carts, but they all seem to have mixed feedback, flooding, clogging, etc..

Alot about that Vision Stone Tankmod that John Phoenix posted peaks my interest. The thicker wick, sealed tank, easy fill, ... i ordered one of them, will see how it works out.
