Hey guys, I have a pretty physically demanding job. I often get slammed around. I've been trying to find a new mod that takes 18650 batteries. I just broke my Vamo 5. It seems like the glue just gave out, it could have been defective but I'm not sure. I'm looking for VV and VW. Let me know what you guys think can take a beating. Thanks.

Deceased, what line of work are you in?
I'm in the oilfield and have been struggling with the same problem for 2+ years. I have tried a combination of almost everything and found out field work and VV/VW mods don't mix. I've had the best luck with a mech mod and a carto tank. Between water/perspiration, sand, other small particulates, dropping, falling into(I keep it in my breast pocket), and all other forms of stress you can put on a mod, the aforementioned is the best combo so far. I have broken most of the components and even down here in Argentina, where I'm currently working, I have been able to locally find replacement parts to hold me over until I get home. I will continue experimenting to find the best combo, because for me a carto just isn't enough anymore, and should I find something I will let you know.
If you come across something that works really well please let me know

Torrque, I work as a Game Warden. It involves a lot of riding ATVs and mud. I like the Kanger T3 clearomizers as they are extremely durable and cheap. I just can't find a mod to match it. I've looked into mechanicals before and I'm not sure I want to go there.

I saw "Wellec's E-LVT Waterproof MOD" on MyFreedomSmokes site and was thinking it might be good for kayaking.

"Description

Accepts 510 & eGo threaded atomizer
Dual output mode (variable voltage mode from 3.0~6.0V. and Variable wattage from 3w~15w)
Power bank function. can charge other electronics by USB cable
LED flashlight feature
Test the resistance of the clearomizer
Waterproof, pressure resistant, and very durable

Requires 18650 battery (battery not included)"

$90, and I don't think it floats, but it might do for you. The reviews are positive but not from anyone who seems to have put it through any rigorous conditions.

Anything with electronic components are subject to failure and will, eventually. Mechanicals will last a lifetime. Not sure what the "learning curve" mentioned above means. Just stick to quality high drain batts like AW and your good to go. That said, I despise clones and would advise everyone to avoid them. GG creations are absolute top shelf in machining and quality of materials. They can be found with a bit of due diligence. Goodluck.

I am currently using a Tesla. It seems pretty study and the tube is vented so if it did get a "little" wet it would be easy to drain and dry.

Do you use web gear or basket weave? Either one, check for an Asp or flashlight holder that would fit whatever you decide on. If you could find one that fit your device well you could wear it on your utility belt and keep it with you.... just a thought...
