Hey everyone, hope ya'll are doing okay today. I have been using eGo-Cs (2 650s and 1 1100) with clearomizers over the past few weeks and I am looking into upgrading. I have not really gotten to play around with VV/VW or even just VV, but I am wanting to make the leap into VV/VW. I know a lot are going to say ProVari, but I cannot bring myself to pay that much for a device, especially since I could use that $$ for medical payments as I have a lot of spinal problems.

Anyways, I was looking at the innokin iTaste VV V3.0 and the Vamo V3. Both look nice, but I'm kind of leaning toward the iTaste at the moment to start out with. The Vamo looks kind of heavy, lol, which would be good in some respects but really bad in others. Any help or input would be much appreciated! Thanks.

They are both good choices if you would like to try out variable wattage. The VAMO is much bigger, but you can put an 18650 battery in it and it lasts a long time; for me I get over 24 hours out of it before I need to replace the battery. Personally I use that at home, since it's very heavy and isn't something I want to lug around with me. You can use an 18350 battery in it, and that reduces the length of the mod quite a bit, but battery life will be much shorter.

With the VAMO you will also need to buy batteries and a charger for them, so keep that in mind.

The iTaste VV V3 essentially has the same features but is in a small eGo-like package. It has an internal battery like the eGo, so you will need to charge it with a USB cable. You can vape it while it is charging, which is nice, but if you are going to be out and about all day without the ability to charge it you're going to want to have a couple of them.

In my opinion you can't really go wrong with either one.

I love my iTaste V3s. It really depends on what you want. I found the Vamo to feel rather cheap and light weight. The iTaste V3 is only 800mAh. If you don't mind a large unit and only VV, then the MVP is rather nice with a long lasting battery.

I general use my V3s for out of the house vaping. When I'm home, I use either my MVP, SVD, or Sigelei Zmax.

Awesome, thanks so much for the input! I thought the Vamo looked kind of heavy, hence why I was hesitant.
I hadn't looked into the MVP or SVD yet, or I might have and don't remember, LOL. There's a lot of abbreviations i'm not completely familiar with. I'm not opposed to just VV, so I may just have to check or recheck them out. I did look at the Siglei but the iTaste seemed kind of close, length and weight wise, to what I have now.

On a side note, my car has a USB plug, so I can charge them in my car! :D

I was a bit dubious about something that held an 18650 battery too. I got an evic which is pretty large - i wouldnt cart it around with me when im out, but the battery life is fantastic. I can go 2 - 3 days on a full charge before it needs plugging in again and i used to smoke 20 - 30 a day. I just use my vgos (same as egos but different thread) when im out and about.

One thing you need to know with the v3 is that when it reaches the end of it's service life and can't be charged any more is that you throw it away same as an ego . I'm not saying it's not a good device because it is , it's just something to keep in mind . With mods like the vamo or the innokin svd you simply replace the batteries .

Hello - New guy here but I will share my experience....

I purchased a eGo about a month ago and enjoy it very much. On Friday I stopped by a local shop to get some more juice and thought I would look into upgrading to a VV. I tried the eVic and the Lavatube v3. I liked both of them, but decided to go with the LT. I went with the LT because it came with more accessories and I knew that I would never use all of the online features the eVic offered.

I am very happy with the LT. Now I carry that and my Ego in a carrying case and use both depending on the stuation.

Wow! Everyone is giving me more to think about. Good thing I'm great at research and as always, your opinions help me out so much! I did know the Innokin battery was not replaceable, I was just looking at it for a starting point.

I wish my local shop was of any help, but when I went there yesterday to buy replacement clearomizers and was asking questions about what they were made of, etc. and all the girl kept saying was I don't know! I wouldn't have even gone there again to buy the clearos because their prices are just ridiculous ($8 for a Vision clearomizer, $35 for an eGo-C 1100- just the battery and $18 for a 30mL bottle of juice) but I haven't been able to place an online order for clearos yet and other parts I want to pick up.

I even went in with a problem I was having with a battery and the woman was awful, I'd only had the thing 2 weeks! I don't think they know exactly what they're doing yet, but they are the only store in the area if I need something quick. So I do the research myself and thank goodness I'm great at it (Thank you Grad School!). Of course, the input from the site members makes research much easier.

Both are good choices. I would get both, as they are both VW which is a plus and neither are that expensive. The Vamo has a better switch regulator (5 Amp) and will hold a charge longer but is larger. A nice glass 5 ml carto tank on the Vamo works well and will allow most to go 10+ hours without needing to do anything but vape.

Another option if you just want to get your feet wet with VV is an eGo Twist or a Smok Winder. They are a little longer then a standard eGo battery, but the same diameter.

Like I said, I love my iTaste VV V3s, but they are not very cost effective in comparison to other devices. If I hadn't gotten into a co-op and grab a couple for $20, I wouldn't have gotten them. Best thing about them is they are small and VW.

Don't know how long the itaste v3 lasts but the 2 small top buttons on the vamo are pretty much jammed and I only have it for 6 months. same thing happened to my friends vamo.
So I'm using an SVD and the vamo is for backup. The svd is a moody mod. It doesn't like my efest 18350 batteries too much. Using a single 18350, in the 1.4 - 1.7 ohm range I get plenty of misfires and sometimes it just shuts itself off completely. I also get a buzzing noise every now and then. 18650 batts fair better. You can't expect quality from these Chinese mods

I second his suggestion of getting an eGo twist. Or you can look into getting a zmax or maybe even an eVic.

The Vamo is much more cost effective than the Twist and just a better all around model PV. The twist only has the small 2.5 amp switch whereas the Vamo has a 5 amp switch. You are thus limited as to what you can use with a twist. The twist batteries cost twice as much as the Vamo batteries and will only last half as long.

From an economic standpoint and a "spec" standpoint, the Vamo is the better choice. And although you will find problems in a percentage of any model PV's, with the vast number of Vamo's sold, overall they are pretty rugged. I've had no problems with mine.

When I was starting out with VV I got a eGo twist which I liked. I then I decided to upgrade and got an eGo V v2 from SLB. This battery was pretty cool as it had a LCD screen that showed the voltage and battery charge. However, one thing I noticed when I got it was that the battery didn't seem to be that sturdy and sure enough, one day while out the top popped off of the battery and a wire got ripped from its connection. I decided to check out VW and got the itaste. I've only had it for about a week, but so far so good. The build quality seems like its solid. The itaste is only an 800 mah battery (I think) so if you are going to be out for a long time I do recommend a back up, but for the price I think its a nice way to get started in the VV/VW world of vaping. With the money I've spent on ego's I probably should have stepped up and spent the money on a SID, Provari, ect...but I just cant seem to bring myself to pull the trigger.
