I have a evic and really like some of it's features and was wondering if there is any other mods that I could buy. The features I want are.

  • USB charging, I want to just plug it in to charge so I don't have to have a separate battery charger.
  • VV or VW is ok
  • Ideally I would like a display similar that shows multiple lines of information at the same time, like V, W, ohms, battery charge. so I don't need to flip through the menus to get info.
  • Something that can stand up on its own and not tip over, the itaste VV3 seems like it has all the features I want but looks like it would tip over easy.
  • tube form factor.
  • long battery life so a ego type is out.

I know this seems like a long shot but I thought I'd ask. if all else fails how about anything that would be USB charging, that is the key feature I want.

Your "want list" and your current best option, the iTaste 3.0, is somewhat contradictory - the 3.0 doesn't have multiple lines of info - but it does stand up on it's own... even with a carto tank topper. It will tip over if you give it a shove.
At 800mAh however, it's certainly not going to last a heavy vaper more than a few hours... at home when I'm at the computer, I just keep mine in pass-through mode and keep a USB/auto lighter adapter in the Jeep.

The 3.0 is probably the most advanced "stick" mod, followed by any of the VV only eGo pass-throughs. If you want more power, you're not going to get it in a stick unless they come out with a 1300mAh/VV/pass-through... which I'm sure is either out, or not too far away.
At present, you're going to have to think about a box or larger diameter tele/extension type mod... like your eVic. Perhaps the new MVP 2.0.

Good luck in your search... I'll be interested to see what others have to say. ;-)

I was looking at the MVP and it does have great features, USB and a decent sized battery. The bonus is that it's relatively inexpensive.
I was hoping to get a tube style since a box mod looks so hardcore and for some reason to me like drug paraphernalia like. But it looks like this might be my best choice for now. Can't wait to see some reviews on the new one.

Yeah the USB bypass/charging IS the way to go!!!!

Having to keep opening the thing up and manually charging batteries sucks rocks...being able to plug into a computer and use/charge at the same time rocks...and the more I look a those MPV (especially the V2) boy howdy do I want to get one!!!!!!

BINGO!!!! being able to charge up at my desk at work or home is a big plus in my book. I want easy to use and changing out batteries and having a charger on hand is not my idea of easy.

I currently only have a 650mAh eGo-T and it lasts me from the time I wake up until the time I go to bed, and I feel like I am vaping quite a lot. I got mine in pass through for these very reasons that you mention but as of yet I have never had a reason to need it. I am just wondering how much people are having to vape in order to burn through 1k+ mAh batteries before a work day is even over.

This is why I love my 3.0 and MVP - can be used as a pass thru if needed. Super handy for road trips, since I can use my phone charger.

they all ARE drug paraphernalia- nicotine. so who cares what it looks like if it does the job and has the features you want? the mvp2 and the vtr both look like awesome mods

When the battery dies the mod is dead.
Edit, can the batt be replaced?
No and no.

1. The MVP will function as a pass-through, however, if you completely discharge it... not so much. If the battery charge status light is red, it will not function as a pass-through.

The owners manual states that the battery charge status light needs to be green to function fully as a pass-through, but I've found (in my experience) on the original MVP that if the battery charge status light has been yellow for awhile, the MVP will "balance" as it were and neither charge nor discharge from continuous pass-through use. If use is not heavy, it will actually charge, albeit more slowly.

2. The battery is a fixed, none-replaceable 2600 mAh Li-ion battery. Figure on at least 200-300 fully discharge to fully charge cycles... for me, that'll be around 2 years. ;-)
