Are these batteries reliable? Right now I have a spinner and it's just not lasting as long as I would like. I don't chain vape and it seems like this battery only lasts 4-5 hours tops and that's with not even using it that entire time. If I turn it up it hits ok again but then it just loses power. I know the spinners act like this plus it takes forever to charge.
I'm looking for a not so expensive alternative. I don't want to spend more than 30-40$ for replacement. Something that I can use as a main battery then use the spinner as backup.
I like how the iTaste charges via usb and how it has a digital display.
Would it be a good alternative?

My backup is an itaste vv3, it used to be my main. Using the counter, I could get around 350 puffs a day before the battery turned yellow. After it turned yellow, I would get maybe 30-40 more before red. It's not a bad battery. I use the iStick now, and it lasts much longer. Some say there is issues at lower voltage, but I have no problem running mine at low voltage. Both of those batteries are in your price range. I don't think you can go wrong with either.

If you don't have a puff counter, than you can go by ml. I used to get through about 2-2.5ml a day on the vv3, if I had a full charge.

I've got two itaste vv 3.0 one white one from fasttech and a black one from vapingtown had them since April 2014 for the white one and the black one since June 2014.I rotate the two around during the day at first I was getting around 350 pulls from charge to empty per device now they average around 243. Given the price of the devices they are great they are hardy dropped both of them countless times and they keep on chugging but with the release of the Mvp 3.0 on the 23rd of Dec i would recommend waiting til the new year and picking up probably a highly discounted Mvp 2.0 as it is basically the same device just with better battery life but its square shapped instead of the form friendly stick with a squarish shape.

This is a 1300 mah spinner. I don't count my puffs or how much juice I use but I will try to keep track to get a good idea. It's great when fully charged even at the lowest setting but as the day goes on it seems like it loses power even if I turn it up the whole way. I've never drained it because it seems like I have to charge it so it performs how I like it.

I have five VV v3s (yes, I like them) and the one I got on October 7, 2013 is just now starting to have problems with a steadily reducing amount of time between charges. However, they do have a low mah battery, which is part of why I have so many. The vape stays the same throughout each charge, though, since they have excellent power management.

They can also be used as a pass-through while they charge, though this obviously increases the amount of time the charging takes. Since I chain vape and use at least two with different flavors all day, I ran into serious cable spaghetti issues, and ended up just getting enough that I can always have three in use and two charging.

Did I say that I like them? :D

I have used 2 iTaste VV V3 mods over the past year. I would rotate between the two during the day and would kill the battery in both by the end of the day. Both the mods are pretty much dead now but for the price I was happy to get a year out of them (actually 6 months considering I rotated between the two). I have since moved on to the iTaste MPV 2.0 which I am extremely happy with. The battery life is awesome (gets 2 full days out of a charge on average) and it is not that much more money compared to the VV V3. I honestly would consider this option instead as I think you will be happier in the end.

I personally use an Itaste VV. It isn't the 3.0 but I find it to work quite well. I charge my battery once a day. I can easily get 24 hours of use out of it. Their really good devices. I got mine used from a friend but mine works great with my Kanger Aerotank Mini. It's USB passthrough for being able to hit it while it is charging is quite useful too. Especially if your not like me and this is the only good device you got.

I second the MVP or iStick. The VV3 is great but it has a rather low capacity compared to it's bigger brother the MVP. The MVP is a better choice if you use clearos with stock coils since it properly regulates at low voltages, and the iStick is the better option if you rebuild the coils or use rebuildables or want to use a Nautilus/ mini.

I am planning on getting an MVP at tax check time. Still i don't think an Itaste VV is a bad choice. Especially if he prefers a pen style. Also I use stock kanger duel coils with mine and I can make a coil last me at least a month usually.

The VVV3 was my first one. Got a vision spinner 1300mah and then and vision spinner ii - which I love and still use as my backup. I really like my istick, and would never pick an mvp over it. I use clearos. All in all, the vvv3 was my least favorite, due to low battery capacity, it felt cheap, and was easily made top-heavy.
