Hi all. So I have not been vaping all that long, but it has been very effective to keep me off of analogs. I tried the 510 first and was disappointed with both the draw and the battery life. So I went back to the store I got it from and exchanged it for the eGo-T. I am very happy with it, however after hearing how lacking it is from other users on the TH and Vapor production as well as taste. I am wondering if anyone has a suggestion on which model of ecig has the same longevity of battery life and also does not require a refill every hour or so.

Open to all suggestions and thank you very much for your time.
Nate

.I started with the same issue you have and have since switched to Boge LR 510 cartos. Juice capacity is less, but those satisfactions you and I complain about with the Ts are fulfilled. Invest in a driptip for easy fill of the cartos. I just remove the driptip on mine and drip into the filler til it pools on top. Replace the driptip and continue vaping. I also have the CE2 XL 510 cartos integrated with the $3 tank mod, and they work pretty well, plus have ENORMOUS capacity. You can vape all day on one, but the CE2 XL starts to taper-off with age.

Good luck and happy vaping!

Not everyone finds the eGo-t lacking. Mine produces more vapor than almost anything else I have in my collection. Throat hit is very dependent on your juice (nic level, flavor, etc), and I've read at least a few people who had been complaining about flavor overcome that by using stronger flavors or going to a juice vendor who offers double shot of flavor in their juice if you want it that way.

That said, if your heart is set on buying another system, you have quite a number of options that will work with your eGo batteries. The eGo system has 2 types of mega attomizers, some eGo specific cartomizers, and anything 510 threaded works, so you could use as low as 2 ohm attys without problems, or a 510 threaded MAP tank, or any 510 cartomizers.

Attomizers tend to be about the most reliable thing. Dripping or topping off carts all the time can be messy, but usually a regular old attomizer is going to behave as expected.

Oh I have not found it lacking myself, but I have only had it for two and a half weeks. Most of the folks I have seen complaining about it have had it for a while or have used something that delivers a much bigger "TH" than the eGo-T does. I know I like it so far. Does the "Mega Atomizer" make a really big difference in the amount of vapor or feeling produced? If it does have a noticeable difference then I will definitely order a couple of those :D.

Thank you all so much for the help, I really do appreciate it so much.

I like the mega attys quite a bit. They produce a lot of vapor and deliver it warmer than the tank does. They have a couple of drawbacks, but perform very well for me. Mine tend to gurgle a little bit (doesn't bug me but some people really hate that) and they also have a tendency to flood unless you mod the carts. I've found that there are varying amounts of filler in the cartridges. The ones that don't have enough will flood the atty. Blue foam mod or blue foam with coffee straw mod works perfectly every time.

Most of the time for the last two months, I've used my eGo-t but I always have a mega atty and a 510 atty in my kit. I don't rely completely on a single system. And, i don't think I ever will. I like the differences between the things I have and I like to try out new gear.

When I go back down to Florida I will probably check with the shop that started me on this journey to a smoke free life, Smokin' Vapor LCC. Lori is the owner and she is awesome. She is probably one of the biggest advocates I have met personally for the cause of keeping Vaping available to us. She has written a huge number of letters to multiple states advocating the use and sales of E-Cigs and liquids. I will call her too to ask that she have some of the mega tanks and mega atomizers ready for me when I get there and she has never failed to come through for me so I know I will get what I need. I know she has some of the newer adapters and such as well so I can try those out also to find out which combination fits me the best and then stock up :D. BTW Where can I find a MAP Tank for the eGo-T System? Or is there another tank out there that holds more liquid without having to buy other accessories for it?

I picked up my eGo-T just about a week ago. I stepped down from 35 analogs/day to about 2 a day during the week, and I just placed another order for a backup standard atty and two LR atty's from Vicki (Cignot) on Friday.

Saturday came, and my atty was getting a bit gunked up - the pull was hard and I had minimal vapor no matter what juice I used. I tried blowing/rinsing the atty, poking at the wick, etc., and any improvement was very short lived. I was starting to freak out a bit, worrying that I was going to have to get some analogs if I couldn't get some better vapor soon...

I google'd ecigarette + my local town names, and found that one of the ECF forum suppliers was only about 20 miles from me! I called "Vapin in the Cape" and found they had a retail store and were open until 7pm on Saturday (YAY!) I drove over immediately and talked with the owners about my situation.

I learned a lot being there in the store, like I didn't know that I could just throw a 510 atty on my 1000mah eGo-T battery (sure it looks funny, but it's an option!). They recommended a few things, and ultimately I decided to try the 510 TANK atomizer (their model: TANK Atomizer) and grabbed a syringe and a 5-pk of tanks as well. My eGo-T kit was stainless, and the stainless atty they had matches perfectly. So far this is working pretty well for me!

The good:
The atomizer is more like a normal 510, with the steel screen dome cap thing, and the tanks have a small amount of fluval in the tip which provides the wicking and keeps the juice in. You do need to fill it with a syringe, but with 1.7ml capacity you can just fill a tank or two in the morning/evening and be in good shape all day. The vapor production is easily twice what I got with a brand new eGo-T atty, the flavor comes through better, and the pull is much much easier - I can get a better draw in 3 seconds on this atty/tank than I can with a two-primer-puff + 6 second draw on the wick style eGo-T atty/tank. I've also found I can double-puff this combo, whereas if I did that with the wick style the second puff was very frequently dry or super weak.

The bad: nothing's perfect. The third time I filled one of my tanks, I wasn't careful enough with the syringe and I ended up pushing some of the fluval down into the tank. Now I'm leery of that cartridge as I'm afraid it could leak on me. A second tank had the opposite problem, it seemed the fluval was a little too intact and at first it wasn't feeding well - I used the syringe to inject a tiny bit of air and it was fine after that. Using a syringe is weird too, if a stranger walked in on me filling my tanks I'd have my work cut out dispelling their first impression...

Overall, I'm quite psyched. I will certainly continue using my regular eGo-T tanks and attys too, but now I also have this other combo for those moments when I want more vapor (e.g., fiending) or for my more subtle juices. I don't feel like my eGo-T investment was wasted, rather I've complemented it. I'm very grateful to the folks at Vapin' in the Cape for being there Saturday, and they definitely listened to me and steered me in a good direction.

TL, DR; if (when?) you reach the point where you feel the eGo-T is perhaps a bit too gentle and start considering alternatives - the wickless 510 TANK atomizers are worth checking out.

BTW - I'm sure other vendors have this atty/tank combo as well, I don't want to seem like a shill, I'm just linking from experience and out of appreciation - they really did save me Saturday.

Just FYI, I have the tank too, and I got some LR attys for it at Cignot. The LR atty is a warmer vape (and more of it). Throat hit depends a lot on juice, but I get a good TH with the LR atty.

BTW, the LR atty is cheaper because there's no warranty on it, however, I've been using mine 3 weeks and haven't lost one yet

Wow, all of this sounds amazing. Thank you so Much everyone. I will be saving all of this info. I just ordered a new Type B Atty and Tanks for it for my first alteration on my PV. I am sooooo anxious for it to arrive. I also ordered a Joye 510 too because there really is a lot of stuff out there for those. Including Tank Atty's those will surely be fun to play with :D

Thank you all so very much again;
Nate
