Let me start of we saying...

I started smoking when I was 18, got married to a woman who doesn't date smokers (which led me to vaping). So i vaped for about a year and eventually stopped vaping completely. (I guess the stress lessened enough). But alas, my stress level skyrocketed again (I love my 8 month old) and I had to start vaping again to prevent me from smoking analogs again. (Not sure why i felt i needed to state that)

But... When I was vaping and looking up info last year I was having issues with my carto's. I would fill them with about 18-20 drops but after about 30min of vaping they'd start tasting badly. Also, when I would refill them (even with the same flavor) they would absorb differently. Low and behold, a year later when i return to vaping i'm having the same exact issue. Someone said last year this would be a good place to get advice on which carto's to use for 808D-1's.

So, I guess that's what I came for, advice. I'm looking at ce2 clearomizer's, any other carto's I should try?

Did you get your cartos there as well? The 'premium soft cap' ones? They are Boge (I think), and I've had ok success with that exact set-up (though this was several months ago). I believe FSUSA also sells the Boges.
Are you using a really dark high VG liquid?
I've mainly gotten Boge and IkenVape cartos for my 808s. I prefer the Iken mega808s mainly for their big size (maybe 2.5ml); the flavor is not that different. Maybe a larger carto could help solve some of your issues?
Be aware that LR cartos will shorten the life of your batteries and increase the chance of them failing. Pay extra attention to your batteries if you use LR cartos. But the LR ones are a little better IMO.
You can also try Volt and Bloog cartos, or just look for 'horizontal coil' cartos (I think smoketeck makes all of these except the IkenVape ones). Horizontal coils are reportedly less prone to burning. I haven't really noticed much difference, but I try to be careful about topping mine off.
