dont like the the clearomizer that came with it
i have the itaste mvp 2 looking for something i can drip on to dont want a rba
any ideas?
Just so you know, the MVP2 will not handle a dripper (RDA is the common term, which I will use through the rest of this post) well, since the lower limit of resistance is 1.2 or 1.3 ohms, if I am not mistaken. It is definitely over 1 ohm for sure. Even building a coil close to this limit will not be sufficient, since you will max out the amps and won't be able to use the full 11 watts that the device is capable of providing. To run an RDA to the best of the MVP's capacity, you would need to build in the 1.8 to 2.4 ohm range. My co-worker uses an IPV and built a 2 ohm coil in his RDA and was able to run it with good results on my MVP2, so it is feasible. However, he usually runs that build on a range of 15 to 25 watts.
That brings me to another point: 11 watts is a low amount (not bashing the unit, mine is used daily, and works great with the proper atomizer) to use an RDA. Quite a few people use mechanical mods to run a RDA, which has no electronics and the build determines the amount of watts that are used. While I use a Mech a majority of the time, it can be VERY dangerous if not used correctly. The battery can vent and even cause the unit to explode if there is a short or if the build is too low for the battery to handle. If you choose to go the mechanical route, there is a pelethora of information on this forum that we can link so that you are informed and can vape safely.
The newest development in the vaping world is the regulated box mod. They run off the same batteries as mehanicals, and have electronics to help regulate the unit. Most units will also offer fail-safes to ensure that you don't build too low or have a short. Also, a sub-ohm build is not required to achieve the flavor and vapor production that RDAs are known for. I will refer back to my co-worker, who uses the IPV. His unit goes up to 35 watts which is a generally sufficient amount. While I do not own a regulated box mod yet, it will be the next device I purchase. I am considering an IPV 2 (50W), IPV 3 (150W), or even the Sigeli 100W mod. While 50 watts should be more than enough for most, I do like the fact that the IPV 3 and sigeli use 2 18650 batteries, so twice the charge at the same number of watts.
