I got my tobeco clone Magma from eciggity.com, for $18.99. They also have a Veritas clone for the same price. I've been very happy with the magma; outstanding flavor.

How's the Magma 1:1 clone from fasttech?

https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10008103/1718100-magma-styled-rebuildable-dripping-atomizer

Also looking into the infinite clt as there's been some good reviews

https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10011754/2020001-authentic-infinite-clt-rda-rebuildable-drpping

For the price of both looks like I can't go wrong. Am I right?

Couldn't tell you; I got the Tobeco clone because I've been so pleased with my Tobeco kayfun lite plus tanks, and I haven't been unhappy with any of their products yet. I prefer to get vapemail quickly, rather than in 2wks-to-infinity. eciggity is in Hawaii, but I was very pleased that it took no longer than any other US vapemail; within 4-5 days as I recall.

Magma is a great RDA. It has amazing flavour but personally its not in my regular rotation as I have other drippers I like more for flavour. A good dripper IMHO to start off is a v2 Tugboat. Great flavour, good clouds, really easy to build and it has AFC so you can run single coils. It can be had for less then $20 on FT. Another good RDA is the Infinite CLT which you were looking at but I feel the Tugboat has better flavour. The Quasar is one of my all time favroite attys but the juice well is tiny however I get the some of the greatest flavour out of all my RDAs from my authentic Quasars. The Hobo, Zenith, Veritas have amazing flavour IMHO and the clouds are fine. The TOBH has a good mix of clouds and flavour as does the Plume Veil IMO. Mutation X and the Doge are two of the best for clouds I have used but IMO you sacrifice flavour for these gigantic clouds a lot of the time. Really there is so many diffrent drippers out there you need to find what you like. I own 25 clone drippers and 7 authentic RDAs. 10 get used daily the others not so much. At this point I know what I like and what to look for like in the case of the Quasar. Its old and out dated some may say, but I love it. My advice would be to set out a 100$ budget if you can afford it and if not whatever you can afford and just buy a handful of FT clones. You can get 8 quality clones for $100 from FT and then you would probably LOVE 3 or 4 (more if your lucky.) Get a v2 Tugboat, Hobo, Zenith, Magma, Veritas, TOBH, Stillare, Derringer, CLT, Plume Veil and/or a Quasar. You wont go wrong with any of those and theres tons more to boot.

Caught a $15 deal on classifieds on reddit for a black Plume Veil clone, otherwise was gonna ebay Derringer for about the same price due to it's minimal factor. Methinks anything with drilled, 3-4 post/hole design and enough air options will do the trick. Also if it has a juice well on the bottom of the deck and no air holes below that (Plume has that, but I'll see if it'll affect performance or not. Can always plug those up if needs be).

Picked up the Derringer a few days ago from my local B&M for $27.

Gotta say, I'm pretty impressed with this atty. The flavor is incredible compared to my other favorites (Doge, Freakshow, CLTv2 and Mutation Xv2). One of my favorite features are the deep juice wells. I'm able to put 15 drips in this bad boy without any leakage whatsoever. Multiple long hits before having to re-drip again. For being so low profile, I'm shocked it holds as much juice as it does.

Also, I love that the middle ring fits over the outside of the base, as you're able to build the coils right up on the airflow holes (well within 1mm). I'm also running a relatively beefy build (4 strands of 30ga twisted/reverse twisted) clocking .3 ohms, running at 110 watts the cap and tip are staying relatively cool considering, particularly during chain vaping. It's delivering a slightly warm and mouthwatering vapor.

Overalll, I'm very pleased with this purchase. And at $27, it's a big win.

And did I mention the incredible flavor?!

Got my Freakshow from a B&M for 30 bucks. I find it fairly easy to build on and it's my first one. Give it a look. Flawless Vape has the Tugboat V 1 on sale now for $35. Also check out Vapor DNA. They have all sorts of authentic and affordable RBA'S and Mods.

You don't have a problem with leakage from the airflow holes? Willing to bet you do.

If you're looking at a Freakshow, the Freakshow Mini is in stock at eciggity (SS only). Ordered one Friday night, received before noon on Sunday - but I'm in Hawaii, a couple of islands away. Price was $27.99 - 10% off coupon (google it). I paid $28.88 including shipping and Hawaii excise tax.

Haven't tried it yet - need to get a suitable drip-tip locally. I could try it now, but I think I'd like a tip with a slightly bigger bore than the ones I have on hand.

I got my Infinite Magma (its called The Lava now) for like $23 at Mt Baker Vapor. It was rad for flavor til I got my $12 Tobeco Derringer from Elev8Vape. The Derringer lays it to waste in both flavor and clouds, but its kinda tough to build for a first RDA..

I was looking at the Derringer today after I read where someone else said the Derringer was great for flavor, but the airflow seems like it would be really open -- can it be adjusted to a fairly tight draw? I've gotten used to using the smallest hole on the Magma, just one, and I'm happy with that; can the Derringer do that tight of a draw?

I haven't really tried yet but you can close off two of the three airholes. The Derringer hits 'smoother' than the Magma to me and I just lung hit it wide open haha. When I throw my Kayfun 4s back on for work, I gotta remember I can't hit those like that.
