I'm curious about either transferring the guts of my eroll pcc to a larger custom box, or removing the back of the case and building something that will attach to it.

Both require me to take the thing apart, and it looks a bit non intuitive. Before I start randomly prying at plastic I thought I'd ask if anyone here already knew how.

There are pics of disassembled pccs, but no information on how they got that way that I could find. Anyone have any information to share?

I don't have a video/pics, but can tell you that it's very easy to take the PCC apart (I'm a girl and can say that :)) I have taken a dud PCC apart.

There is nothing that is "spring-loaded". It's all held together with 5 tiny screws.

#1 on the metal band on the outside of the PCC (this removes the back plate only-
nothing is attached to it)

#2 and 3 on the metal band on the inside of the PCC (this removes the metal band)

#4 and 5 on the electronics

There's a piece of double-sided foam tape holding the battery to the body.

All of the working parts are loaded onto the front side of the PCC.

Have fun. :)

well there is a girl here who resolders and mods variable voltage pcc boards, and another who designed a battery powered capacitive pulse arc welder for wick wires so your feminity does not allay. my fears, but thanks, I'll give it a try

Well I finally found my mini screw drivers and got the first screw out. I can;t for the life of me find the second though.

The fist is on the opposite side of the case from the light right in the aluminum, plainly visible. The back plate seems to still be firmly attached, however.

Everything else is covered with plastic. Any ideas?

Update. Got it. There Are catches. The case needs to be slid about a quarter inch towards the power side to release them.
