Looking for fellow hammer users

It's been a few months since I've gotten the hammer clone from hcigar and I love it. It's replaced my nightmare inducing itaste svd nearly right out the box. I'm looking for other people who are owners who have tips and tricks for keeping the unit in top working order. Any help is good help.

I intentionally didn't buy a hammer so everything wouldn't look like a nail, but it's great it's working out well for you. What you're generally looking for is tips on maintaining and using it, such as:

You're mostly going to want to look up how to properly keep the threads and contacts and switch clean and in working order.

I've had the HCigar Hammer for about 4 months and I like it a lot, however the spring in the top cap failed. I replaced the top cap with a Chi You top cap from Fasttech. I also got a Chi You kick sleeve from them so I can use a kick with it (the Chi You kick sleeve is slightly longer than the one supplied with the HCigar Hammer and makes fitting the kick easier. You will have to fiddle with the contact on the top cap (I had to shorten it) but it will depend on your atty.

Best thing about the hammer... it doesn't fall over when you put it down, not even when you knock the table its sitting on.

I've had and still have issues with removing tanks from the top cap. I need a pair of pliers to do so. I've also had an issue with the spring inside the white part of the top cap. It was completely discolored and gunked up and stuck in the middle. I switched it out to a spring I found in a ballpoint pen. Rudimentary but non the less effective.
