Lots of mods that take removable batteries allow charging via USB directly to the device. I don't know the pros/cons of this as I don't have one.

I do have an istick 30 that has been my main vape for a while. I would definitely try the iStick 50 if it is similar, these things have withstood every kind of abuse I could throw at them. And I throw a lot of abuse at them.

I just ordered a Hanamodz V4m to use as I start exploring rda's. I think there are cheaper units that can be had with a lot of the same features but it's made in the USA so that's cool :)

Most regulated mods do have USB balanced charging. Its frowned upon here in ECF but honestly I do it sometimes when I'm traveling or out and only have a usb cord/ wall charger.

I would not skimp on batteries however.

I think most people say pass through charging is more dangerous with a dual or triple battery mod than with a single battery mod for some reason but any mod with pass through would be welcome for me because I'm upgrading from a broken KBOX 40w.

It's dangerous only if the board somehow fails during charging or even while firing.

A lot of members on here don't have faith in most of these chips we have in our regulated device.

I want a mod with a good chip, for a single 18650 I was going to go with the IPV D3 and for a dual the Cuboid 150
