Hi,

I am currently vaping on a Sigelei 75W TC mod with a Nautilus mini (with Ni200 coils).

But I would like the option for RBA, as the factory ones are hit and miss and quite expensive, mind you just the option, I would also like stock coils for when I am lazy or if it turns out rebuilding isn't my thing (never done it before).

Unfortuntaly most I see are either RBA only or geared toward direct lung hits.
I saw 2 options that could be for me but I have doubts about each, those are:

- Kanger subtank mini. Doubts: most I read is that they are not really for MTL, and that I probably be better of with my Nautilus in that regard...otherwise this seems a great option...

- Aspire Triton with RTA deck: Doubts: I hear lots of stories about leaking,so maybe wait for V2 whenever that comes. Second doubt: I have to use Atlantis TC coils as there are none for the Triton, which are a bit hard to get around here.

But perhaps I have overlooked any other options out there?

For a MTL I always recommend a Kayfun. Clones are less than $20 these days (just avoid that $12 POS on Fasttech.) and the flavor is hard to beat. There's no pre-made coil for it, and it's not a cloud maker, but it's one of the easier attys to rebuild. Once you get a good coil in it they last for months. The cotton lasts anywhere from 2 tankfulls to nearly a month depending on your juice. I DIY my juice and have run 150mL through my cotton and it's still going strong. Just make sure you check out Baditude's blogs for safety if you are new to coil building.

The Subtank Mini is good for MTL with a higher ohm coil. The rba deck is easy to work with and easy to learn on. The OCC coils that Kanger makes are good in a pinch but I prefer the rebuild deck. I was a MTL vaper in the beginning but started direct lung hits as I found them more satisfying as my needs grew. I don't take those super long, monster hits like you see in so many videos. A 3.5 second pull and I'm good. Definitely a solid choice for a good rebuildable tank. Welcome to the forum.

There are different types of TC coils that would fit the Atlantis/Triton. First there are the Vaporshark ones (are those the ones that are hard for you to get?). I am using them now on the Triton and have not had a single leak. That said, I am using pretty heavy VG juices, so that probably helps prevent leaking as well.

Second, the vAir-T nickel coils will fit the Atlantis. These are the coils that I have tried on the Triton, and they leaked because I had the juice control opened up pretty wide. I also use them with the Atlantis 2 and I turn the juice control down.

Third is the eLeaf nickel coils for the Melo and iJust2. They are compatible with the Atlantis/Triton as well. Haven't tried these, but I did place an order for some.

Fourth is the Smokme Subverter Mini nickel coils. They are also compatible with the Atlantis/Triton. I also haven't tried these, but also placed an order for some.

Thanks! I pulled the trigger and ordered the subtank mini. I figured that even if MTL does not work quite as good on this tank as on the nautilus it'll give me the option to try sub ohming and rba, so that it is worth a shot, doesn't cost the world.

Once I have it I'll let you know if MTL is viable on this tank and how it compares to the nautilus in this regard.

OK update: I received my Subtank mini and i have been vaping it for about 8 hours with the TC coils.

Is it suitable for MTL: definitely
Compared to the Nautilus mini in regard to MTL: if you set it to the smallest air hole it is just a bit airy-er than the Nautilus on air hole 2. But on the smallest air hole the subtank does produce a far warmer vape. I like a cooler vape so I now use it on the middle air hole and can still use it perfectly well for MTL although the draft is not as tight.

Which is better for MTL? It depends on your vaping preferences: if you like cooler/tighter vaping than the Nautilus wins, if you like warmer vape than the SBT mini wins.

Alltogether the SBT mini is far more flexible (RBA, sub-ohming), prettier and has a larger content so overall I think the SBT mini is the better tank if you have to choose.

I am very happy with my purchase, I now have the Nautilus mini on my Istick and my SBT mini on my Sigelei 75W TC, which give me all the choises I need in vaping.

It is hard to not recommend the STM as its good at many things and if you look at Fasttech (and like black) there is even a top fill option for them.

While my favorite RTA currently is the Lemo2, there are other options to consider - namely the Anyvape 'Sega' (uses AtLantis coils, actually decent RBA deck, top fill) and the Atlantis2 outfitted with the Anyvape RBA. I'll mention the Anyvape 'Fury' however I've yet to get it to function as well as my other tanks.

Since you've already purchased the STM and are running it in TC mode, I'm sure that you are aware that both the temperature (and on some mods) the power can be dialed way down to produce as cool and as little vape as almost anyone might want.

Yes, I found my perfect spot on the SBT mini at 170C and 30J, much cooler vape just the way I like it......I have moved on since posting this though from the Sig 75 to the sx mini m....it's a great combi witht he SBT mini.

Now also have the Kabuki from House of Hybrids in rotation, very good MTL tank..it is a bit pricey, but worth it in my opinion......
