Hi y'all, noob here.

I 'MTL' only nic salts, and have been using Vaporesso Renova Zero for a while. I love the size and features, but frankly the pods SUCK. I mix my own flavorless juice, and the pods usually 'burn' after a day or two (or less). And they're not cheap (like $2.50 each). I've tried both the 'ceramic' and the 'mesh' coils.

So I'm looking for something with better & cheaper easy to replace coils ... but prefer something small.

Looking at Aegis Boost and Voopoo Vinci ... any advice or other suggestions?

I really prefer (not sure what it's called) when you draw to fire, I do not like having to push a button.

Just heard the term "RBA" ... if I get RBA for Boost ... then I can replace coils more economically?

Thanks for any advice/suggestions!

Hi and welcome,
I will point you in the direction of the innokin Sceptre.
My wife lovers her Sceptre (she was a Zero user) with freebase 10mg/ml nicotine. Coils last about 100-150ml of juice and cost less than $€£2 each.
The Pods hold 3 ml and have an easy fill port that take juice from almost any bottle. (Sideways glance at the Vaporesso PTF system)

Thanks, looks interesting! I like the idea of a pod system with cheap replaceable coils. I will look into it.

It is draw-activated, or button? Or both?
What's the difference between the "carbon MTL" version and the regular?

Only downside looks like you can't easily see the juice level in the pod.

Yes. RBA = Rebuildable Atomizer. You just replace the coil and wick, like an RTA or RDA. With rebuildable tanks and pods, you do have to practice to get the wicking right otherwise you will get dry hits or leaking. But rebuildables are the cheapest way to vape.

Yeah, those coils must suck. You should be able to go weeks on one coil using flavorless ejuice.

It/they are both draw and/or button activated. The draw activation works best with the airflow turned down for a near perfect MTL hit.
The Carbon model has a different pod and a new coil at .65Ω that offer a more restricted draw and a mesh coil experience. (both available separately) Both are fully compatible with the original.

The juice level is clearly visible in the exposed mouthpiece portion of the unit, just tilt and observe.

Either version will put the Zero to shame, IMRHO.

Hope that helps.
Cheers
