Whats up, ECF? Hows everyone doing? :)

I'm Zero, and you could say I'm a wanna be vaper lol. I've had two or three bouts with this since 09 and I keep running into issues. See, the first time I'm pretty sure it was a combination of trying to make my own awesome juice (and not buy pre made juice), as well as lackluster hardware. This time, I've found a great juice collection, but... I have a small selection of small hardware; grabbed a Vapor Titan from V4L, a couple of Volt batteries, and then some Volt CE3s to hold the juice. And this has been working moderately well until last night. I killed both batteries last night, and somehow managed to screw up my last CE3. (Filled with juice, tasted burnt. Followed cleaning instructions, now produces no vapor.) I was pretty upset.

To make a really long story short, after that episode I started searching around for a good APV. Found TONS of them that I like, in an assortment of price ranges, and then ran into some confusion as well.

My honest top pick was the iHybrid. Too soon did I realize that was going to be a pipe dream, so I tried to put that one on the shelf so to speak. Didn't want to get myself set on something that was going to be that difficult to acquire.

Top Second pick is the ProVari V2, preferably the mini. Found out on ProVape's website that they have some clearance ProVaris that have some small blemishes on them. Found a mini for $140. Awesome. Ok...
Problem #1: ProVape's website is also confusing. They quote the price as $140 but they don't specify what all comes with it for that price. I'd like to assume that $140 would be the ProVari Mini + Charger, but the charger is not specified anywhere on the Blem ad, and on the non-blem ads it looks like you gotta pay extra to get the charger. (Got the battery thing Ok, the smaller size is for the mini without the cap or you can get the extension cap + larger battery.)
(Problem #1 tl;dr: ProVape's website isn't very clear, please build me a ProVari blem kit to get started.)

Problem #2: As listed add-ons for the ProVari, ProVape gives you the option to add 510 Atomizers and 510 Cartomizers. If I was going to get a tank for the ProVari, do I need either of those? I felt that it was more of a either or with the 510 stuff or a tank system.
(Problem #2 tl;dr: Does ProVari require 510 atty and carto with a tank? Or is just the tank fine?)

Problem #3: I want a nice looking, color option, tank system that isn't too complicated to put together. I can only guess that a good tank is just as important as a good PV. I was heavily considering a Pro-V tank from Vaperfexion, but if I could find one a little cheaper that'd be great too.

Lastly, I hate to be one of those... Could it be less expensive people, but I mean I guess everyones gotta budget where they can.
Would it be better to get the ProVari and a cheaper tank, or get a nicer tank and a cheaper PV in the meantime?
Don't get me wrong, I will own a ProVari in the near future but in the mean time... What would be another good PV system I could get in the mean time that would be a little cheaper that would still use the same tanks as the ProVari?

I want everyones opinions :D Ok, Ready? Go!

    1. The Provari, blemished or not, doesn't come with anything you need to run it unless you buy a kit. You need the appropriate batteries: 18490 for the standard or 18350 for the mini. They will also hold other batteries with extension tubes, either 18650 for the standard with extension tube or 18490 for the mini plus extension tube.

    2. You can use *any* 510 device on any of the Provari models. Choose what you want for that, or use what you were using. As long as it's a 510 connection you're fine.

    3. Read and read some more. I use an IGO-L on mine lately, but that could change when something else catches my eye.

Cheaper options exist: Vamo, Evic, Zmax, etc. Do research, watch youtube videos, etc. In my opinion, get the best PV you can afford, because it's a constant while what you put on it might change regularly. The Provari is a proven standard and most serious vapers end up owning one at one point or another.

Do you want a VV/VW PV,or a Mechanical PV??? That's the next decision. There are alot of high end mech.'s as posted below youtube, google,do alot of research on what you want. Here are a few,
Precise Plus,Precise ELA,Legacy,GG,Dingo,Roller,etc... too many for me to list.

EDIT: I went back and reread what you posted and saw you already had the ihybrid so scratch what i just posted.

Unless you order a kit (which I do not recommend) the listed price is for the Provari only. Should you decide on a Provari, my recommendation is to order the Provari of your choice, order an extention cap as an accessory (if you want one) and the extended warranty (if you want that), and nothing else.

You can find juice delivery devices, batteries, and a charger much cheaper elsewhere. Look for a charger and batteries from RTD Vapor. I recommend one of the higher end Xtar chargers if you can not afford the Pila. Of course, only AW brand IMR batteries for a Provari. RTD Vapor also has a large selection of drip tips if you need those. RTD Vapor AW Batteries

You can find better quality pre-punched cartomizers for your cartotank from this list of vendors: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3295-2-sample-list-vendors-selling-pre-punched-single-coil-cartomizers-cartotanks.html

I recommend getting a cartotank from IBTanked for the Provari. An entire kit for $25. The 19mil diameter tank fits the Provari great. IBTanked - Get Tanked With Us!

I currently own 7 of these; I did a review of these tanks here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3318-3-ibtanked-pyrex-glass-tanks-review.html

Problem #3: I want a nice looking, color option, tank system that isn't too complicated to put together. I can only guess that a good tank is just as important as a good PV. I was heavily considering a Pro-V tank from Vaperfexion, but if I could find one a little cheaper that'd be great too.
IBTanked, as recommended above. If you want colored tubes, they have them.

When rationalizing the higher cost of a Provari, consider it as a long-term investment into the future. How long do you plan on vaping? How long do you expect your PV to last?

The Chinese-made PV's have shorter warranties, and then if they should require repair after warranty, your stuck. China nor anyone else will repair them. The Provari, on the other hand has a 1 year warranty, an option to pick up an additional year, and then after that Provape will still service the Provari after warranty at owner's cost, at already printed item for item costs. I consider this to be worth the additional initial cost of a Provari. Buy once, cry once, regret it, never.
