I think the most frustrating part is on the web you can't tell what is an AD from a company trying to sell product and what is a legitimate review. I am new to vaping. I stopped smoking 4 months ago after 37 years. I have been going nuts and am looking to vape to get the nicotine in when I need it (lungs goes much faster than via stomach, skin etc).

I just want an easy to use basic setup. A 2 piece. No juice added by me. In effect I want a battery like the size of a cigarette and filter. I charge the unit and attach the filter and bam I am vaping.

Here is what I have been through so far. I called on the phone and didn't specify all of this above and was sent
SS Choice No. 7 Classic Pen Style (I could use the filters or refill them).

That SS Choice junk lasted not even a day and then the battery wouldn't stay charged and then the juice leaked into my mouth. I logged onto their website and told them they sent the wrong stuff and haven't heard a word yet from them. I assume I won't.

I then went to Smoker Friendly store where I visiting this weekend and bought their SF brand. Works pretty good. The battery sometimes needs a mid day charge for an hour but it tastes good. Problem is there is not a SF near me and I can't find anywhere online to buy more batteries and SF filters FS-220.

So for standard battery that looks like cigarette is there a filter which tastes good like SF that I can order? Thanks, Leo.

I know this may sound dumb especially after vaping 11 months but what is a SF.

Sounds like you need to get a good ecig and buy prefilled cart if you don't want to mess with eliquid. I suggest the 510. It's going to be much more expensive to use prefilled carts and they don't last as long as they say they will.

There are several good suppliers you can get a 510 from. The only drawback is the battery only last about an hour. If you get several and swap them out it want be a problem.

Read the forum to find which suppliers are the best.

I did not like refilling carts so I started dripping (drip a couple of drop of eliquid directly onto the atomizers) This produces much more vapor and throat hit than any other method I have tried.

Actually using prefilled cart you will end up spending as much on ecigs as you will cigarettes.

It's good to want recommendations, since a lot of companies are taking the novelty of this product and selling overpriced garbage. However, information is already all over the forum, so reading is your best bet. There is even a forum dedicated to excellent information, the ECF Library. In it is this post: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-4-6-buying-your-first-e-cig-little-guys.html

Read, read, read.

EDIT: There's a sticky in here- http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/37186-great-info-new-members.html you should check out too.

I am new to this also, and really can't speak from experience, but after a few days of research and probing this forum, I decided on the Vapor King from vapor4life.com. I wanted something simple, nothing to play with or mod. I just want to vape! From the reviews and seeing what others say in their sub forum, I am sure I made the right choice.

Also you might want to try out a kr808 kit from cigeasy.com Frank definately takes care of his customers... and just because he doesn't have followers spamming the place... you won't be disappointed I am sure... I will keep an eye out.. if you need any help let me know :D

Also

Puresmoker
nhaler
Altsmoke
Good Prophets
and Electronicstix

are some of the many people that carry the 2 pc model... and trying something new.. I would say go for the best deal and then branch off into specifics i.e. flashy, stylish, or off the wall flavors

I also think a the best deal would be important if you don't plan on refilling.. and just wanted to vape and toss

are some of the many that

All of the above info is good, but I would recommend thinking twice about swearing off juice -- any of the KR808-D1 models such as Puresmoker.com's "Ace" or Vapor4Life's "Vapor King" are incredibly easy and hassle-free to fill back up, and pre-filled cartos can get pricey if you use them once and toss them out (I can easily go through three cartos in a work day, but I stop using them before they get too dry).

Any of the suppliers mentioned here will be good choices. Have fun, and I hope you find something that works well for you. If I was going to buy my KR8 all over again today with the knowledge I have gained in the past few months, I would buy:

1 KR808-D1 kit (with two batteries, wall charger)
1 PCC (sometimes they come with the kits, and are called a PCC kit)
10 pre-filled cartomizers
1 10 ml bottle of juice

This would be enough to get you started and give the device a good week before deciding if you want to stock up on juice or keep buying more cartos. This will also let you decide if you need higher, lower, or about the same nicotine content in your fluid/cartos.

Thanks for the help. It is much appreciated to be sure. Another question. When people recommend a 510 or 901 what kind of styles are they. Is one a pen style the other a 2 piece e cig? And I did look at the video and links but the technical jargon is introduced prior to anything having been explained therefore is very difficult to follow. Would be great if the models had a legend up front in the guides for us newbies. Thanks again. Leo

The 901 is a pen style, and the 510 is a mini (tad larger than a 100 analog). Both of those are popular starters and are 3 pieces. The 901 is a classic and produces nice vapor and is good for delicate flavors. The 510 is the most popular here, it's a vapor monster and gives the most "smoke like" vapor and lots of it. the kr808 is the most popular 2 piece here, some folks like the cartomizer approach to vaping and find it more convenient. I'd personally recommend a 510 ($35 at cignot.com), but folks are happy with their 901s and KR808s too. Good luck :)

Hi Leo! Both 510s and 901s are 3 piece.

I did an introductory video on the 2 piece model, which is very generic towards the Kr808 2 piece model. (the video was made for V4L but its the Kr8 model)

Here's a link, and perhaps that helps.

Many retailers sell this 2 piece model, so the choices are out there.

I am pretty happy so far with the KR808 3 piece I am using. I have ordered a charging case for it so I think I want to stay with the two piece cartomizer rig for now. Only 2 things are not quite right yet.

1 - Battery life. Does anyone make a longer battery (like a 100 size in a regular cigarette) for the KR808 style? Maybe a 901 length but 2 piece instead?

2 - Cartomizers. I used to smoke Marlboro/Merit kinds of smokes. Anybody know of somebody who makes a cartomizer for that kind of flavor? Also any juice of that kind of flavor as well?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
