I just got a Volt Pro Starter kit and was looking for a review of how well the Mega V2 charger worked. On youtube the only performance review I could find was a Mega PCC review from 2011 by steeljan, and the unit being tested must have been an older version. The results of the test were pretty poor. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a similar test of the newest model - the Mega V2 - to see if it comes close to the advertised specs.

Does anyone know of a good test of the Mega V2 charger? I'd also like to know if there are other similar chargers which do have good performance. Thanks.

I assume your talking about the pcc. What kind of results are you looking for? I used mine for over a year and it was fine. I have since moved to a different device but it worked well. Using 65 batts you can keep one loaded with cargo plus the three spares. Nice one package solution

There are two case/chargers offered by SI. One is a slider case called the PCC and the other case is called the Mega V2. I have the Mega V2. Neither of these cases looks like the one reviewed in steeljan's video. The video review actually measured the charge voltage and current while the Volt battery was being charged, and neither of the measurements was close to what should have been provided. I was looking for a review of the current Mega V2 charger which took the same type of measurements to gauge how long a charge would take and how many charges could actually be done.

yep that sounds right :)
I was able to find one more review of the Mega V2 by 1972darcymarkwell on youtube which is more recent. The reviewer said she was able to get about 4 charges for the 78mm batteries, which seems pretty good. However she also indicated that it took about 5 1/2 hours to recharge the Mega V2 battery after it was depleted.

Yep, there was another mega pcc before that got discontinued and replaced with the V2. That first one was the one nobody liked, and it's long gone.
